Southern Palms RV Resort, Eustis, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Grass site fairly level, easy access to water, sewer and electric. We were advised to use a pressure regulator for water, and we did. However, it reduces water too much. Had very little water pressure and if someone was in shower the water in galley was nearly a trickle, same if someone flushed toilet. Staff was efficient and had our paperwork ready for us when we arrived. Good interior roads. No WiFi. Decent cell signal with Verizon and no trees on our site, which enabled us to use satellite. Didn't try their cable. A lot of traffic noise. We camped at Southern Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cherry Blossom RV and Mobile Home Park (formerly Pecan Point RV Park), Dothan, Alabama

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The park is undergoing a lot of upgrades and planting new trees, grass, etc. The pool is not yet open. You can see there has been a lot of thought put into the planting and updates. The Leland Cypress trees will help with road noise. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good interior roads, recently paves. Concrete pads and patio, with picnic table and grill. Nice long pull though sites. Didn't have to unhitch toad. Wifi was very slow, switched to Verizon and used phone as hotspot. Very good utilities. Would stay here again for sure! We camped at Cherry Blossom RV and Mobile Home Park (formerly Pecan Point RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Birmingham South Campground, Pelham, Alabama

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

The is a small park, overpriced, but neat and clean. Interior roads are in dire need of paving, pot holes and patches made for bumpy roads. Tight turns, but very doable if you are paying attention. Some shady spots where satellite wasn't available. Cable available. Wifi very very slow, and spotty Verizon service. Good utilities and no issues with water or sewer. Staff was friendly and efficient. Park filled up quickly after our arrival. Pull through sites long enough so you don't have to unhook toad. There is a train that runs nearby frequently, and if you are a light sleeper, you may get be bothered by the horn. Think we would look for less expensive place just for overnight, but would stay here again. We camped at Birmingham South Campground in a Motorhome.

Lower White River RV Park, Hazen, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

New park, no facilities. All paved asphalt. Good roads, long pull through sites, some back in sites, that most seem to be occupied by long stays. Cash or check only. Good utilities, but if you are towing a car, it is a very long run for sewer. All utilities are at the rear of sites. Would stay here again, perfect for overnight. We camped at Lower White River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Musicland Kampground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

The people that work here are awesome! You cannot find nicer more accommodating people anywhere. The campground is on unlevel grounds and the sites are tiered. Our site was level and no issues with utilities. Some of the turns are tight, and we unhooked the toad by the office, per their advice. Campground is close to numerous shows and restaurants. Wifi was slow, and just used Verizon, which was very good. Cable was available. A lot of sites you cannot get satellite, due to tree coverage. Laundry room was clean and reasonable. We would stay here again. The staff should get 10 stars!! Our stay was extended several times and they worked magic to have us stay in our site over the holiday weekend! We camped at Musicland Kampground in a Motorhome.

Grand Ole RV Resort, Goodlettsville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice, neat park. Easy to find and good interior gravel roads. The check in was quick and easy, and they escort you to your site. The sites look pretty haphazard, but not bad once you are parked. There was some sites that are closer and more crowded, but there was enough room on our site. Our site was a pull-in site, and site in front of us was a back-in. So it was close in between coaches. Not a lot of grassy areas for dogs. Didn't use the wifi. Good Verizon service in the area. Utilities worked well. There is a train that goes by frequently, no horn blowing though. They serve lunch and dinner nightly at a reasonable price. Live music also each evening. Prepare for costly parking in Nashville! We would stay here again. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Atlanta South RV Resort , Mcdonough, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Nicely kept campground. Paved roads, gravel sites with small grass area between sites. It was a bit tight to maneuver out with the towed so had to unhook. Utilities worked fine and had no issues. Good water pressure. Sites fairly level, and were able to use auto levelers. Easy on off I75. A lot of speed bumps and road to campground was a bit rough. Unable to get satellite signal due to trees. Good Verizon signal. Did not use available wifi.
We would stay again We camped at Atlanta South RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Valley River RV Resort, Marble, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is our third stay here. We enjoy it every time! The park is very clean and easy to get in and out. Sites are level and concrete with patio and picnic table. Roads are paved. We used a pressure regulator for water but it dropped the pressure so low, we removed it. The pool is completed and is beautiful and inviting. They even have an assist lift for physically challenged people, to assist getting in the pool. Back part of park is still under construction. No issues with sewer or electric and we didn't use the cable. Check in was quick and easy, everyone that works there is nice and pleasant. Laundry room is clean and the machines take credit/debit cards, so you don't have to carry a million quarters! We will be back! We camped at Valley River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fort Chiswell RV Park, Max Meadows, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Well maintained park. Good interior roads, great signage to let you know where park, and office is located. Quick and easy to get to from interstate. A lot of pull through sites. Sites are level and long enough so you don't have to unhook. Utilities are convenient and worked like they were suppose to. Some sites are shaded so you don't get satellite but staff is knowledgeable about which sites get signals. We didn't use cable, but it is also available. Wifi was very slow. This is a great little park, and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Skyline Ranch Resort, Front Royal, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This area of VA is just breathtaking. Take time to enjoy the views! The campground has both full and part time campers. Our site was difficult to back into and also to get level. We had to put out 30' of sewer hose. Thankfully we had that much with us. The picnic table was very unstable and we notified the office. Nothing was done. The dumpster across from our site, was the place the bear, that lives nearby, comes to every night and strews trash everywhere. I asked the office why they didn't get a different dumpster, I know they make dumpsters that are bear proof, she didn't seem concerned, which is a shame, you can see this bear being labeled a "problem" by wildlife officials. The outcome won't be good. The interior roads are in good shape. We saw numerous campers drive around several times trying to find their sites, some hard to find. No one escorted you to your site. This park has the potential to be outstanding with the proper management. I will look for another park next time we are in the area. We camped at Skyline Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

Riverdale Farm Campsites, Clinton, Connecticut

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Office staff was very accommodating and we were given a choice of sites. The park is great for families, and there were no shortage of those. Roads are gravel and easy to navigate. Sites are gravel, and were also a bit muddy from recent rains. No issues with utilities and our site was open enough to get satellite. There was a patio, picnic table and fire pit. We would stay here again. We camped at Riverdale Farm Campsites in a Motorhome.

Mount Pocono Campground, Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This would be a great park to spend a week with the kids. Not so great for overnight. The pull-through sites are very small and tight. We had to disconnect the toad to keep it out of the road. Site was very unlevel, and after several attempts on auto-level, we gave up and went manual. No issues with utilities. Roads are gravel and tight. Doubt we will be back. We camped at Mount Pocono Campground in a Motorhome.

Sandy Pond Campground, Plymouth, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was pleasant, and a lot of local information on restaurants, etc., available on bulletin board. Sites are large enough for 36' plus tow. All grass/sand sites. Cable was not working and called 2 days in a row, both times they said they would sent someone out, and didn't. Unable to use satellite, due to tree cover. Very limited over the air stations. A lot of seasonal campers. Everyone was pleasant enough. Very muddy and a lot of puddles in road and campsite after rain. Some tight turns, but doable. No issues with utilities. Would stay again, if we could get a satellite signal. Wifi was useless. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a well maintained park. Good paved interior roads. Sites are all grass, but level. Good wifi. No issues with utilities. They do ask for copies of vaccinations for dogs. Lots of activities for the kids. It was amazing with as many children that were here it was quiet. Sites are very roomy and all have fire ring and picnic tables. Looked like most were settled in for at least a couple of weeks of summer vacation. No trees in our area so clear view for satellite. We would stay here again if ever back up this way. Frosty Acres Camping Resort, Schenectady, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

The park is mostly seasonal campers and was very muddy with all the rain. Sites are gravel and pretty level. Back in site with no utilities issues. Parking in the front of coach in the mud. Narrow roads and had to move car so another Motorhome could back into their site across from us. Steep entrance but doable. Must show current rabies vaccinations. Would not stay here again. Office was nice about changing our site when we accidentally set up in the wrong one. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.
