Trinidad Lake State Park, Trinidad, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

If you are lucky to get one of the 7 FHU sites you will be fine. Park is tight for some site. several site are tight and should only be used for smaller RV light pop ups of shorter TT. Some sites are level but a majority are not especially in the first loop 1-23. My understanding is that on July 1st it will be reservations only through ReserveAmerica, they will no longer let you pull in off the road and occupy a vacant site. You must call for a reservation. there is also $7.00 per day vehicle pass needed and when you make your reservation on-line there will be a $10.00 processing fee. There is a NO FIRE BAN as well as NO SMOKING out side you vehicle or RV. this is a Country and State ban. We camped at Trinidad Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Beacon RV Park, Saint Joseph, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very tight spots. Lots of permanents, place for weary travelers, no Wi-Fi or TV, satellite is a no go. Anything but big rig friendly, sites are very hard to get into in the morning, as residents aren't up and about until 9 am. Will stop in rest area or truck stop next time. We camped at Beacon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wylie Park & Storybook Land, Aberdeen, South Dakota

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

this was a matter of convenience as we had personal business to take care of in Aberdeen and the only RV spot with FHU. It would be a great place for family camping with small RVS as getting around the campground with larger units could be interesting when there is a full campground. We had a 41 foot MH and the pull thrus were not long enough. Had to change site to a larger back in so that we could get MH and tow dolly off road way. In talking with friends from Aberdeen this park is VERY busy when school is out because of the Storybook theme park and campground gets very crowded when families come in for a weekend a park along the travel road. Campers have difficulty getting into back in sites. Our feeling is the only time we'd come back is after the park closes in the fall or before it opens in the spring and only for a place to get off the road. the only reason we wanted a FHU was of the cold weather forecast for the several days we needed to be in Aberdeen. We camped at Wylie Park & Storybook Land in a Motorhome.

On-Ur-Wa RV Park, Onawa, Iowa

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Traveling back to South Dakota and after 7 hours on the road wanted a place to hook up for the night and relax. Ended up spending an extra night. Owners were great and prior work campers so they know what RVers need.. Camp ground experienced lots of rain prior to our arrival so the newer sites on the back row were soggy. Owners explained these sites were only a few years old and they have been added stone and gravel every spring. These sites were the longest in the park. the site we were in could easily handle a 45 foot rig with 20 foot plus trailer and still have room for another vehicle. Campground is right off I29 and fast food restaurant close by if you don't feel like cooking. The park will be on our list for repeating anytime we travel through. Over the air TV was good and satellite TV good for time of year. Not sure about interior sites that sit among the cottonwood trees. We camped at On-Ur-Wa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Treasure Isle RV Park, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Campground was a place to stay for a couple of day so that we could visit friends in the area. Campground was not set up for larger motorhomes as turning into site with toad or car with dolly was difficult without unhitching. Pull through sites were not level but the several back in ones appeared to be. there were many campers in the campground with many of them looking like look-term residents or long-term seasonal users. We camped at Treasure Isle RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shadrack Campground, Bristol, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Shadrack Campground

Bristol, TN

We first stopped at Shadrack in April on our way to New England and were very pleased with the campground. On our way back South we decided to spend a week back in Shadrack. What a remarkable change The management have made in the 5 months since we had left!

The addition to coin operated laundry to the fully funsctional kitchen for small gatherings is Assume! Also they have a pot luck Thursday which is fantastic , smoked ribs are GREAT.

His work campers do a great job keeping the park neat. We will definitly add Shadrack as a place we will always stop at! We camped at Shadrack Campground in a Motorhome.

Shadrack Campground, Bristol, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Large park with both gravel and grass sites. Great place to stop and relax overnight or a couple weeks. Lots of country music and bluegrass history in the area. Park is about 1/2 mile from Bristol Motor Speedway. We arrived the week after the big race so park was quiet. New managers are great folks and make sure you are happy with your site. Most sites are 30 AMP but manager want to convert more site to 50A.

Unless you know where the park is you may miss it and drive is a little steep in and out when towing car on a dolly. Big rigs seem okay with toad being towed 4 down

We arrived the week after the Spring race and ended up staying a couple of weeks to enjoy the Tri-Cities area. We have seen some of the changes that the new managers have begun are thoroughly impressed with their ideas for Shadrack. We have been treated as part of their family while here and We can't wait for our next trip through the Bristol area to see how much the campground will have changed throughout the rest of the spring and summer months. We camped at Shadrack Campground in a Motorhome.

Poverty Point Reservoir State Park, Delhi, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean, quiet spot to spend a week relaxing. Sites were level cement pads with full hookups, they were although back-ins. The pull-through sites did not have sewer hook up but the back-in worked fine. We camped at Poverty Point Reservoir State Park in a Motorhome.

River View RV Park & Resort, Vidalia, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Park was clean and relaxing. Showers, restrooms, pool areas were very clean. Grounds were well kept and plenty to do and see around the area. Wi-Fi was terrible, as was the cable TV reception, which was basically satellite TV pushed through the 193 RV sites and reception was very very iffy at best. Local antenna TV was nonexistent. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.
