Robbins RV Park, Beaumont, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice owners. Helped us get into our site. We were on grass that was nicely mowed. Small but very clean, simple park. Great value for FHU at $25. They recommended eating dinner at Floyds and it was packed even at 9pm. Great food! We camped at Robbins RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Del Norte Town Park, Del Norte, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2016
Overall Rating:

Since I couldn't get ahold of a Visitor Ctr, I called local Sheriff Dept to confirm it was OK to overnight here (even though there is a sign that says it is OK to) and was told "yes you can, 1 night only". There was a music event in the park but was not crowded or too noisy. Great place to stay. Quiet and safe. Difficult to tell where to park, but we stayed on Spruce back by the trail, against the grass. We camped at Del Norte Town Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a brewery, laundry, hiking/biking trail, nice restaurants and services in town. A ghost town in nearby Summitville is not to be missed!

There is NO CHARGE to camp here.

Rock Creek RV Park, Twin Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

There are two entrances for this park. One is for the park itself, the other is for the RV Entrance. It will be obvious if you get to the correct site. This is a wonderful place to stay. We get 3 bars of Verizon (4 when boosted) and our AT&T gets 3 bars of 4G. Some of the sites could be a little more attractive or landscaped a bit more, but hey, cutbacks etc. For $15 water and electric, this is a great place to stay. Quiet at night. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Spring Creek Park, Tomball, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2015
Overall Rating:

Great gem! The 8 RV spots are close, but they are on level concrete with grass in between and a park setting. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was that once the gate is locked at 10p, you can't get back in until 6am. No code. Some nice trails. You can't beat this place for a short stay. Not sure how long the limit is. Site 1 is the best. We camped at Spring Creek Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Brattleboro North KOA, Brattleboro, Vermont

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to get to and drive through. Nice trees and dog area. Smaller park. We stayed in #F47 and was plenty of room for our 40' 5er. Cell on AT&T is iffy, Verizon is 4G. We received a 10% off for Good Sam, then decided to stay longer and asked for the stay 2 nights get 1 free. Quiet campground. We camped at Brattleboro North KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground, Red Cliff, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Great park for visiting Apostle Islands. Most spots are smaller, would get a 10 if there were an option for sewer. Very clean & quiet. Spots are crushed gravel/sand. Most not very level. Wonderful lake views. We stayed in spot#33. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful, clean, quiet, green, lot's of space between sites. We were in site #28. Very good Verizon signal. We had no problem maneuvering our 40' 5er. We camped at Custer State Park - Stockade Lake North Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Baker's Hole Campground - USFS, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park conveniently located 5 miles outside the Yellowstone Park Entrance. Close to town for shopping. Clean and quiet, some road noise. Cost is $16, $22 for electric. There is no water at each site, but there is a water fill up right at the entrance. We stayed 1 1/2 weeks and enjoyed our time here. Better AT&T cell service than Verizon. Good 3G Verizon internet with a booster. We camped at Baker's Hole Campground - USFS in a Fifth Wheel.

Beaver Dick Park, Rexburg, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a gem of a county park. Clean and hardly used. Excellent Verizon 4G. Easy to find. Very little road noise. Has 2 small playgrounds, covered BBQ areas and a boat ramp. Nice place to stop over for a night or a few days. Handy garbage cans at each site. Mostly for smaller rigs, but there are a few sites at the back that can handle larger rigs like ours (40ft). Big Plus - if you stay 5 nights the cost is only $15 (that's $3 per night). Plenty of shopping in Rexburg, 5 miles away. We camped at Beaver Dick Park in a Fifth Wheel.
