Fair Harbor RV Park, Perry, Georgia

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here once before headed back to Florida this time was a one nighter headed out of Florida. Just as please as our first visit easy on and off I 75. As close as it is not much highway noise. Didn't have reservations but found a pull through right away and pulled in. Paid in the morning before we left. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Williston Crossings RV Resort, Williston, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second time visiting this park. It was super clean and quiet. The spaces are well thought out with plenty of distance in between each. Considering the amount of spaces this park has it was still so quiet. They had many activities planned as this is a Snowbird stop and it was the last weekend before they start their trek home. They have added the nicest dog park beside the huge one at the entrance. The new one is very shady and very clean. They also added a stage which we saw a live band and they were outstanding. Not much to do in town but there are a few stores within a mile or so and a couple of restaurants you could walk or bike too if you don't have a vehicle. Hookups were close and no issues with electric. WiFi is available but we couldn't get it work and gave up as we just left a State Park with no Wifi so we were used to being disconnected and were just fine with that. We camped at Williston Crossings RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park, Cordele, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We had made reservations for 3 nights with the hopes of staying a few more days if we liked it....it was beautiful! We arrived late on a Sunday and found clear directions at Welcome Center for late check in...drove up to campground and found our paper with our name on it. This park is a first come first serve and apparently we got super lucky and got a huge spot right on the lake. It was dark so wouldn't see our surroundings until the next morning. Gorgeous park....quiet and well maintained. We checked in and was greeted by a very nice gal at the desk that answered all of our questions...where to buy propane(across street at Bait shop) where to get groceries (across street at Stiplings General Store) and laundry (they had facilities at the park). We hiked and biked here, great trails setup. Tried to go to the Cypress Grill didn't know that is open only seasonally and sometimes only the weekend. Enjoyed Cordele's though...great lunch and even better dinner. The little lounge in main lodge was also very nice. Water service and electric were on point. No sewer but totally fine and used dump on way out which was clean. Also take note the SAM Train only runs on weekends as we didn't know that either and was little disappointed but the park more than makes up for that. We camped at Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out Stiplings across from park entrance...great meats and store has quite a bit no need to venture back to town. Also Dollar General 2 doors down for all of your other needs.

Birmingham South Campground, Pelham, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I see in past reviews people complaining about the roads in the park but this isn't advertised as an elite 5 star rv "resort"....it's a campground. With that said we were quite pleased with the park....we came in the dark but found the roads very easy to negotiate. We called about 3 hours out and the gal on the phone was very friendly and made sure our check in papers were on the late night board. The park was well lit on entrance (the tasteful Christmas lights might have helped that). Our pull thru spot was a pleasant bonus when coming off the road after 10 hours of driving. To each their own opinion but if traveling thru this area again I would gladly stop here again and recommend it to others as well. We camped at Birmingham South Campground in a Travel Trailer.
