Calling Panther Lake Campground, Crystal Springs, Mississippi

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

I have stayed here several times. Its always clean and well maintained. Full hook ups but my site didn't have a fire pit but it did have a grill and picnic table. I saw 3 deer and a large alligator while fishing. We camped at Calling Panther Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here several times. This time we were on the water on spot 11. It rained all week but the sun came out this afternoon and its great tonight. Just grilled hamburgers and sitting by the fire. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Site was ok, level and everything worked. Worst thing was making reservations. We have stayed here many times and always dealt with the person in the office but now you have to talk to the corpoate office and you can't hear them on the phone. I also called for the shuttle and it took them forever to answer. They showed up in a chevy suburban and i had to climb into the 3rd row seat. They use to pick you up in a big crew bus with plenty of seating. I guess they aren't making enough in the casino to provide good service anymore however they kept enough of my money. We camped at Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park in a Motorhome.

LeFleurs Bluff State Park, Jackson, Mississippi

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, quiet, clean and courteous staff. Lots of squirrels to watch. The concrete pads are fairly level but busted up in some places. Our pad on spot 9 was just barely long enough to get all tires on the pad (24' class c). We have been here several times and will come back. There is some highway noise from nearby I-55 but you only notice it at night when siting by the fire. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

John W. Kyle State Park, Sardis, Mississippi

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We were going to stay here based on reviews but when we arrived the park was almost empty and appeared very run down. A lot of sites share water and requires you to have a long water hose. Our first impression was bad so we moved on down the road to another campground. This was only the second MS state park we went to and it did not compare to Lefluers Bluff in Jackson which we liked very much. I would not return to this park again. We camped at John W. Kyle State Park in a Motorhome.

EZ Daze RV Park, Southaven, Mississippi

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was easy. We got a spot right by the bathrooms. The bathroom/shower area was super clean. It was below freezing during the night and the water connection froze so we couldn't use our motorhome water. We had firewood for the night but didn't know they don't allow campfires. There are no grills on the steps either. There are about 28 TV channels and we couldn't connect to wireless at times. The office said the same wireless code works for the side of the road where the office is located and across the street where we were. We could only get the signal for EZDays2 which said our code was incorrect. Occasionally it would show EZDays then it would work ok. It's a nice clean park but basically a spot to park for the night. I thought the price was high for what you get. I don't believe I would stay there again. We camped at EZ Daze RV Park in a Motorhome.

LeFleurs Bluff State Park, Jackson, Mississippi

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We are new RVers and this was our first trip to a state park. We picked it since it's close to home in case we didn't like it. The park has a very clean bath and shower building. The spots are laid out with plenty of room and are equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, grill and lamp post. It has water and electricity at each site but there is a central dump station on the way out. We took our bikes on road all over the park. Our motorhome is only 24' so I could get all tires on the concrete but a longer motorhome would be extended off the concrete. I rode through the park the day before and checked out the spots. I made reservations with the office but after I looked at some pictures I had taken I realized the spot I had reserved was missing the grill. I called back and the nice lady (Pat) let me pick another spot with a grill. We camped on the water at spot 14 which was perfect for us. Overall it was a great trip and we can't wait to go back when it's warmer. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

Calling Panther Lake Campground, Crystal Springs, Mississippi

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We just spent one night this trip but we have camped here several times. There are 23 sites. All are level concrete pads. Some of the sites are pull through and it also has handicap spots. The park road is lighted. Each site has water, electric, sewer and a grill. There are no cable hookups but I did get 23 channels on the antenna. There is a single bathroom with a shower at the sign in office building. It was very clean. The boat ramp is easy access with plenty of parking and it is lighted at night. There is also a fishing pier at the ramp. Fishing is great! The camp area is at the top of the hill from the boat ramp. The lake is a few miles from I-55 interstate but it is easy to get to with good signs. We camped at Calling Panther Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff. Shuttle to casino and they bring you back to your rv spot. The sites are inclined and the connections were at rear end of the motorhome (ok for with my 24'). I was standing in the grass by my door and got covered in fire ants. I had about 115 cable channels and good wifi signal. It was still a good visit. We camped at Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park in a Motorhome.
