Shreveport / Bossier City KOA, Shreveport, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

This park would be so much better if they removed the tons and tons of yellow painted concrete curb blocks that are everywhere...around turns, protecting utilities on sites, blocking patios...it's crazy! Unnecessary and very unsightly. They also make it unnecessarily challenging to navigate certain areas. Other than this, and the ridiculous price we paid, this is pretty much what you would expect from an average KOA. Very decent overall. They need to step up their maintenance efforts since many sites have cable tv posts broken and other worn elements. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA in a Motorhome.

Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Lots of complaints about uneven sites but ours was just fine. Perhaps it's better in the 50 amp section. Some complain about the large slope leading in and out of the park but it is absolutely no issue. Across the street from the casino which a free shuttle will take you to and from your site. Very close to the National Military Park which is worth a visit. Very close to I-20. This is a solid park for a short term stay. We camped at Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park in a Motorhome.

Benchmark RV Park, Meridian, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

A small, no frills park suited for a 1 or 2 night stay...definitely not a destination. We had no problems in a 45 ft motorhome navigating the roads and getting in and out of our site. I wasn't thrilled about having to call the manager to get my site assignment and then going back to the office at 4:30 when he opened up to do check-ins. We camped at Benchmark RV Park in a Motorhome.

Capital City RV Park, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very decent park with all gravel roads and sites. Sites all looked pretty level. Very easy to navigate in a large motorhome. Somebody must have got a deal on orange cones though because they're everywhere directing where and where not to go. They definitely detract from the park's appearance and I question whether many of them are necessary. We arrived at 12:30 and the office was locked up. We called the number and a woman came in less than 10 minutes, checked us in, led us to our site in a golf cart and took off before I could hit my parking brake. So service...only so-so. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Alliance Hill 50 Plus RV Resort, Marianna, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This a very small park somewhat out in the country. The service was nice. You call ahead with your arrival time and the owner meets you out front to let you through the gate. The sites are okay and we had no problem navigating the park in our 45 ft motorhome. There is almost nothing to do in the area. Marianna got hit pretty hard by Hurricane Michael and things are a little tore up. It is a little far from the expressway than I would have liked but as a result it is extremely quiet. This is a good choice for a 1 or 2 night stay. We camped at Alliance Hill 50 Plus RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Ocala Sun RV Resort, Ocala, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here a few times and have always been satisfied. It's not a beautiful park but it is easy to get to and get out of. It's more of a waypoint than a destination and serves this purpose well. The staff is friendly and helpful. We have a 45 ft motorhome and stay in the older part up front with extremely long grass and gravel sites that are easy to get in and out of. The newer part in the back of the park looks nice enough but appears to have many sloping and uneven sites. For 1 or 2 nights this is a solid place to stay until you move to your next stop. We camped at Ocala Sun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cajun Palms RV Resort, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Very large park with over 300 sites, nicely kept, with a few pools, a couple of bars (including a swim-up bar in one pool), and a couple of small restaurants. On the weekends it is packed and the pool areas are jammed with mostly families and small children. It empties out on the weekdays. We had a problem with our electric pedestal and they were very quick to fix it. There is almost nothing to do in the surrounding area. The biggest negative is that you have to pay for wifi and it isn't cheap if you want the premium package for streaming. In this day and age nobody should be charging for wifi anymore. It's a nicely kept park but just a bit busy for our taste. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Majestic Oaks RV Resort, Biloxi, Mississippi

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

While not in the prettiest area of town the park itself is very nice and very convenient to most attractions. The sites are a bit close but not unlike so many other parks. The length of the sites are just long enough to fit most larger rigs. We have a 45-foot motorhome and our rig fit with only a couple of feet to spare...but you can park beside your rig on what might be considered the patio. The Wi-Fi was sketchy and not reliable so we had to use our hotspot most of the time. All in all this is a pretty solid park...clean with just enough space. We camped at Majestic Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa RV Resort, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $88.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice, somewhat small RV park right on the water. The amenities are very nice and well kept up. The grounds are very clean and nicely landscaped. The sites are slightly close together but mitigated somewhat by decent landscaping between sites. The sites are slightly short if you have a big rig. We have a 45-foot motorhome and were barely able to park our tow vehicle in front...had to park sideways at an awkward angle but it did fit. The park is extremely close to the bridge leading to Santa Rosa Beach. This is a very nice park all around with terrific service! We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tallahassee RV Park, Tallahassee, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here numerous times and love it. It just always seems to fall in a place that is a perfect stop in our travels. It is slightly close but entirely maneuverable with a big rig (we have a 45 foot motorhome). It is very wooded with tall pines which, while looking very pretty and providing nice shade, makes is difficult-to-impossible to get a satellite signal. No problems since their cable service was fine. The office staff was very nice, as always. This is a solid park and well worth a short stay. We camped at Tallahassee RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ocala Sun RV Resort, Ocala, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here multiple times and have never been disappointed. We have always been here in off-season so we have had ample room on both sides. The transient area is grassy but firm. It does look like it might be very tight during season when everything is full. They do have a new huge addition in the back which looks pretty good. Staff is great! The guys handling the escort and park details are extremely polite and helpful. Very big rig friendly. Al in all this is a very solid park. We camped at Ocala Sun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

All About Relaxing RV Park, Theodore, Alabama

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This will be one of, if not "THE", cutest, cleanest, friendliest, and warm RV parks you have ever stayed in. You are met at the security gate upon arrival by one or both owners and immediately ushered to your site. The roads and sites are all gravel but very well maintained and level. There is a chalkboard sign framed in wood at each site welcoming the guests with your names listed and any children an pets that may accompany you. The grass between sites and all landscaping in the park is very well maintained. You can tell that this park is very well cared for top to bottom. The laundry room is cuter than most have at their own house. The restrooms and showers are immaculate and I might actually use them at this park. There are at least couple of covered decks with various comfortable outdoor furniture functioning as casual hangout spots. I just can't say enough about this place. Do yourself a favor and see it for yourself. This will now be a regular stop for us when we transit the gulf coast. We camped at All About Relaxing RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Las Vegas RV Resort , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice, clean park with paved and level sites. The people are very friendly and helpful. Employees patrol the park constantly. I have never used showers in an RV park before but I did here since our water in the RV was overly hot due to the 115+ degree temperatures. The restrooms and showers are huge and clean. The roads are a bit narrow with tight turns here and there, but it's all doable. We camped at Las Vegas RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Bass Lake RV Resort, Bass Lake, California

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

I don't understand many of the good reviews for this park. I am usually reluctant to issue a bad review but this RV park is just not very good. It's only redeeming factor is its close proximity to the south entrance of Yosemite. The roads leading down to the park are extremely narrow. The speed bumps are the worst I've seen: ridiculously huge and not painted well so you hit them before you knew what was coming. While there are trees all around, the RV sites are all dusty gravel and unbelievably close together. Sewer connections are horrible. Your site is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Works for me since I usually arrive early, but a ridiculously lazy policy. Most of the sites are so narrow that many people's slideouts, awnings, and other gear are encroaching on neighboring sites. This is not a pretty park and I detect very little attention to detail here. I won't stay here again. We camped at Bass Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Vineyard RV Park, Vacaville, California

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is an old, rustic, heavily used RV park with narrow gravel roads and sites. But there's nothing wrong with any of that. It's an RV park. You would be hard pressed to find a better location in the area. The gentleman who checked us in was fantastic. We had no problem negotiating our 27-foot Airstream through the roads and into our site. I did notice longer rigs having a little trouble getting around...but they did. It's definitely not the prettiest campground. Our pull-through was in an all-gravel area which seemed a little bleak especially given the temperatures closing in on 100 degrees. This is a park where you put down stakes and then go out and enjoy the surrounding area. You'll be a little disappointed if your plan was to stay in and enjoy the RV park itself. We camped at Vineyard RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
