Lake Gaston Americamps, Bracey, Virginia

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Great Campground. We stayed here overnight on our way north. The rate reflects a winter special. The campground staff is wonderful, very helpful. Our site was a pull through, with a concrete pad and a beautiful view of the lake. In the spring and summer this place has many things to do - swimming pool, fishing, boating, mini - golf. Wi-Fi is excellent. Camp store is well stocked and has a good selection of items. Complimentary coffee in camp store in the mornings. We will definitely be staying here again; hopefully, for a long stay to enjoy all the facilities. We camped at Lake Gaston Americamps in a Motorhome.

Jones RV Park, Norcross, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice older park with lots of long term residents. Office staff is very nice. We would stay again if passing through the area but wouldn't make it a destination park. We camped at Jones RV Park in a Motorhome.

Montgomery South RV Park, Hope Hull, Alabama

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Nice small park. We stopped while traveling and stayed overnight. No frills, but near Montgomery with access to things to do. For the most part there are level gravel pads. Clean restroom and laundry. The owner is extremely nice and very accommodating. Our rate was the Passport America rate. 'We would definitely stay here again and plan on it. We camped at Montgomery South RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pine Crest RV Park, Slidell, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Has good connections. Has level parking. No real amenities. It does have a pond for fishing. Staff is very nice. It's about 30 minutes outside New Orleans, so you don't pay the higher New Orleans rates. We camped at Pine Crest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gulf Coast RV Resort, Beaumont, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here for an overnight on our way from Texas to Louisiana. Staff was very friendly when we made reservations over the phone. We came in late at night and they had our information waiting at the late check in desk. It is a lovely park. Roads are wide. Long pull-through sites can accommodate a motor home with toad. Very close to I-10, but not a lot of noise. We will definitely stop here again, and will stay longer than overnight if we can. Our rate is Passport America. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Admiralty RV Resort, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. We travel frequently to San Antonio and always stay here. Good location with plenty to do in the area and not far from downtown. Staff is friendly. Lots of activities. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Large, heated, swimming pool. Sites are paved. We get one with an additional side parking space which adds some space, but there is room without it also. WiFi is spotty depending on the site. We camped at Admiralty RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Colonia del Rey RV Park, Corpus Christi, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The campground itself was nice. Good location - near shopping, beaches, and restaurants. Free WiFi, but spotty service. We stayed in an upgraded site which was concrete, with a weekly rate. Other sites are gravel. Laundry room was OK, older machines. Staff seemed abrupt. Overall, good park. We would stay again when in the area. We camped at Colonia del Rey RV Park in a Motorhome.
