Williamsburg / Busch Gardens Area KOA, Williamsburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $88.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to stay. It is near a lot of things in Williamsburg. It is a big campground, but did not seem crowded. We stayed on a premium site with concrete and pavers. Great people at the front desk, it was busy but they handled it professionally. The only thing I could say negatively is the price. It is too expensive. We camped at Williamsburg / Busch Gardens Area KOA in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort at Natural Bridge, Natural Bridge Station, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here a few times. We really love this park. It has a lot of spots, but it is spaced out well. Our spot was gravel and almost level. It was a very wooded site. We stayed back toward the cabins. Each site has picnic table. The people are extremely nice and accommodating at every turn. There is a lot to do as far as swimming, big open sites, playgrounds, and a river runs through it. Bath hoses are nice, not immaculate. I would recommend this campground. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort at Natural Bridge in a Motorhome.

American Heritage RV Park, Williamsburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

No secret why this is so highly rated. Nice people at the office, and a very small store, watch your step. Roads are a little tight, but we were able to get our 37 foot motorhome in and out easily. The camp is clean, and we went on spring break. There were alot of kids on bikes and scooters but it wasn't loud. There was alot of people there but we stayed in #1 which has its own patio, fire pit, and deck chairs and table. The stone patio was beautiful and even had its own charcoal grill. The restrooms were immaculate, equal or better than the nicest I have ever been in. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Williamsburg area. We camped at American Heritage RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Virginia War Museum is a 30 minute drive away in Newport News. It covers VA battles from the Revolutionary war to the War on Terror. It is well worth the drive, and my kids loved it.

Anvil Campground, Williamsburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for two nights. They were extremely nice when we checked in. Gave us wi fit passwords, and showed us our spot. Gravel sites that were level. Spot was a little tight on driver side of the rv but great on the passenger side. Great playground, nice small pool, basketball court and a decent store. The bathrooms are immaculate and showers have plenty of room. They weren't air conditioned but I didn't mind. The people were very nice. They let me put our rv in overflow on the last day so we could see a movie as it was well after check out. It was a little moist with the road and railroad but I couldn't hear it over the air condition. We camped at Anvil Campground in a Motorhome.

Bethpage Camp Resort, Urbanna, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Great place if you have kids who like to do a lot of things. Water park, water sports, crabbing, laser tag etc. we really enjoyed it. It has a ton of things to do. Everything is well taken care of. My only negative thing, is that it is very crowded. A lot of golf carts, and a lot of noise. We will visit here again. We camped at Bethpage Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

St. Augustine Beach KOA, St Augustine Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $91.00
Overall Rating:

Had to stop in on the way to Disney. I was on a bind because it was 1:00 in the morning. Check in was easy, and efficient. Sites were a little tight and had some permanent folks there. Plenty of room lengthwise, we were towing jeep. Sites were level and it was quiet. The bath houses were dated but in good shape. My only issue and it was a big one was the price. We stayed there 5 hours andbit was $91. I thought this was outrageous. I will know better next time. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Richmond North / Kings Dominion KOA, Doswell, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Checked in at the Store, the people who worked there were very nice. The Store/lodge was very neat. It had cornhole, a couple of TV's playing Snoopie cartoons. The only problem was there were a lot of standing water in the campground. We have had a lot of rain lately. It was fine, but if it was hot, I'm sure it would have been an mosquito playground. Our pad was awesome, good clean place, great new playground and shuttle to Kings Dominion. Bath Houses were immaculate. We camped at Richmond North / Kings Dominion KOA in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort at Natural Bridge, Natural Bridge Station, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Fastest check in in the history of rv parks. No lie we pulled up and were in our spot in less than 5 minutes. Limited camp store with little choice of groceries(no alcohol). Bathhouses need serious work, rotten floors in one location. Great place if you have young children, so much to do with so many activities. Campsite was amazing, extremely large and also level. We really had a blast. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort at Natural Bridge in a Motorhome.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Huge concrete pad, grill, extra water hose. Great campground but you pay for it. Very large and clean, but if I could say one thing that could be improved was the lighting. Many of the lights didn't work. But this place is the real deal. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Luna Sands Resort (formerly Clark Family Campground), Orange City, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice people. Needed a place to stay before I went to Disney, and I called after hours. The owner told me to come on and told me where to park. I have a 31 footer with jeep being flat towed. Site would have been level except I didn't want to unhook. Clean restrooms and owners even woke up early so that we could get an early start. We camped at Luna Sands Resort (formerly Clark Family Campground) in a Motorhome.
