Old Mill Run Park Campground, Thorntown, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park is well kept and clean. It is very quiet in a country setting. The entry gate with an entry code system provides some security for campers. Most sites are for long term campers with a few sites for overnight and short-term campers. There is a nice mini golf course, swimming pool and other amenities. Camp sites are spacious with a crushed stone pad for the rv and grass for the patio. The camp sites are somewhat sloped, making leveling a challenge. Fire pits are provided. We would enjoy staying here again. We camped at Old Mill Run Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Texas T Campground, Cornersville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Next to the interstate highway but reasonably quiet. Propane fill-up available. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was easy to get in and out of the park. Cable tv was not working well. The park was fine for our overnight stay. We camped at Texas T Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

A-Okay RV Mobile Home and RV park, Dothan, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

The campsites are very large with convenient hookups. The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly. Additional campsites are under construction for future campers. Propane fill-up is available. The camp is in a quiet rural area. The site was unpaved grass but it was reasonably level and we had no problem with soft ground mentioned in other reviews. I gave it a 9 rating as it is great for short term or overnight campers but there are not amenities such as a playground for kids or a pool for summer use. For the price we paid we had no c0mplaints. We camped at A-Okay RV Mobile Home and RV park in a Fifth Wheel.

Old Pavillion RV Park, Perry, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The park is quiet with few amenities. Restrooms were not available due to hurricane damage. Most sites in the park are for semi-permanent RVs. A small public beach is located about a half mile from the park. This park was good for the price we paid. We camped at Old Pavillion RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a paved bike trail starting near the park that runs along the highway. There is nearby public access for boats and fishing on the Gulf. Two stores within 3 miles offer groceries and necessities. Perry is the closest town with numerous fast food places and the usual shopping places. There are some nice local restaurants and coffee shops in Perry.

Meadowlark Shores RV Park, Moore Haven, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park residents are friendly with several activities during the winter for residents to enjoy. A good rec hall and swimming pool is available. The remote location is quiet with no highway or other noise. The facilities look to be well maintained. A good set of camp rules keep things orderly. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that maneuvering the turns on the streets was difficult and many sites are tight to back into. We were reserved for site 115 but it was just too tight to back into due to vehicles parked at streetside. We camped at Meadowlark Shores RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

East Haven RV Park, Winter Haven, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 2 nights. Being there at high season and their overnight sites were full, they let us stay in one of the longer term sites that was very large. The site we were on was well covered with grass and fairly level. The park manager was very friendly and helped us get situated. We enjoyed the heated pool which was clean and well maintained. This park has about 1/3 park model sites and the rest are for RVs. We would stay here again. We camped at East Haven RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Kissimmee South RV Resort , Davenport, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

The park has several new concrete pads for RVs. The park is having some upgrades and is reasonably clean. The park needs to emphasize rules about pet owners cleaning up after pets while on walks in the park, though I realize that the pet owners have a responsibility to abide by the rules. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the improved sites which had a higher price than some others available. We enjoyed our 3 day stay at the park and would visit again. We camped at Kissimmee South RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Salt Fork State Park, Lore City, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a site with full hookups. It is a huge park with a large lake for boating and fishing. We ate at the lodge which has a nice restaurant. The campground we stayed in was backed up to a forest area but the campsites are easy to enter with paved roads. There are not a lot of activities other than hiking trails or water sports, but if you want a place to relax and enjoy nature walks, or rent a boat, this may be a place you would like. We camped at Salt Fork State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Travelers Campground, Alachua, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The management has a good routine to make sure the campers get to the sites quickly and provided a helper to make sure the electric and other hookups were working. The layout of the sites for the over night campers was unusual but very satisfactory. The sites could be called pull through sites. The staff was friendly and helpful. The noise from the interstate highway was a bit disturbing but not bad. We stayed there one night. We camped at Travelers Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sanctuary RV Resort, Bonita Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2015 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

The park is under reconstruction as of this review date with lots of unusable sites. WIFI is marginal, cable tv is not connected at all sites, pool is closed due to Florida state inspection. Water, sewer and electric work at usable sites. Excellent laundry area. Probably a place we will not visit again. We camped at Sanctuary RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Glenada RV Park, Avon Park, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older RV and mobile home park that recently changed ownership. It has a lot of large oak trees that give good shade on most sites. The camp site we had was difficult to back into with large oak limbs overhanging the site. The sewer, water and electric hookups were at the rear of the campsite requiring extra length electric cable and hoses. Extra care is required to avoid damage to big rigs. The park residents and staff are friendly. Recreation facilities were available. Discounts were applied to our registration fee. We camped at Lake Glenada RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Orlando SE / Lake Whippoorwill KOA, Orlando, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The park borders a large lake. There is access with a dock on the water. Campsites are ample sized and we used a pull through site. The facilities are very nice, good laundry and rec room. They had activities for guests. Some sites are soft after rain but they have the concrete patios. We liked the WiFi throughout the park. The rates are on the high side but you get what you pay for. We camped at Orlando SE / Lake Whippoorwill KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Winter Quarters Pasco RV Resort, Lutz, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean RV park with many sites with park models. It was a little hard finding a site we could back our big RV into without difficulty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a lake but I did not see any available camp sites next to the water for short term camping. Park is located off a busy highway but it is reasonably quiet. We visited this park twice in 2014. We camped at Winter Quarters Pasco RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stage Stop Campground, Winter Garden, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are large enough for big rigs. The trash containers were conveniently located. The park was clean, grassy and well mowed. It was far enough off the highway to be quiet, yet close to markets and shopping areas. The only negative we saw was the roadway was deteriorating in some spots. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We camped at Stage Stop Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
