Alder Acres RV Park, Coos Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground. It has a mobile home section and several permanent residents, but all seemed well-maintained. There are several PT sites for travelers. The roads and pads are asphalt and wide enough, although you need to watch the large concrete planters positioned at the entrance to each site. There are gravel areas between sites with a table. The gravel is large enough so that it is not dirty and you do not track it into your rig. The pad was not long enough for our coach and tow car, so we had to park the car across the road, but it was convenient. The utilities worked well, but are positioned in the rear of the pad, so you need long hoses. There are 3 medium sized, fenced dog parks in the park which are well-maintained. The bathrooms were immaculate. We would stay here again if we ae in the area. We camped at Alder Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hi-Way Haven RV Park, Sutherlin, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground with gravel roads and pads. The roads are wide enough, but our mirrors drug through a bush at the entrance of the site - workers later cut it back. The pad was barely long enough for the coach and the tow car. The PT site was across from a nice dog area and had a concrete patio with a table and privacy fence. The trees were small so there were no satellite issues and the wifi was adequate. We stayed only ight, so we used only electric, but the utilities were conveniently placed. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Hi-Way Haven RV Park in a Motorhome.

Casey's Riverside RV Park, Westfir, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground in a very relaxing setting by the Willamette River. It has wide asphalt roads that are easy to navigate. Our site was a long back-in asphalt pad with a patio and table with trees and gravel/scrub between sites. The utilities are in the rear of the pad so you need long hoses. It's about 30 miles off I-5, but the signage if good as you near the park. Even with the large trees, we had open sky for satellite, and the wifi worked well. The owners work on the property quite a bit and were very accommodating. As with other parks, there are trains that come by a few times a day - you cannot see them but you can hear them. We would definitely consider staying here again if we are in the area. We camped at Casey's Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Brookhollow RV Park, Kelso, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground even though we stayed only one night. It appears the first two rows are reserved pull-throughs for overnighters. Check-in was friendly and efficient. The asphalt roads were wide and easy to navigate. The pad was concrete with a patio and table, although it was not long enough for our coach and tow car (parking for the car was across the street). There was a large grassy area between each site. The utilities were well-positioned in the center of the pad and worked well. There was a small tree at the site, but we had no satellite issues, and the wifi worked well. We would consider staying here again if we are in the area. We camped at Brookhollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yakima River RV Park, Ellensburg, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice, very clean campground. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a gate you have to walk around to the registration office. The gate and cones in the road make the entrance appear to be narrow, but it is adequate (especially if you are warned). The gravel roads were easy to navigate, and we were escorted and positioned on our site. The pads were gravel and there were nice grassy areas between pads. The setting is very peaceful facing a pasture. The utilities and wifi worked well, and even with trees, we had no satellite issues. There is a small dog park, which the owners insist you use. As with many parks, there is a train that comes by several times a say, but it is not bothersome. Ellensburg is a very nice, small college town and is about 20 minutes away. We would consider staying here again if we are in the area. We camped at Yakima River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Deer Park RV Resort (formerly Spokane RV Resort), Deer Park, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice RV resort. Our site was a pull-in facing the golf course. We had a long concrete pad with a nice patio and table. The issue with the site was the placement of the sewer connection. Even using 20' of hose, it caused us to lose about 20' of pad in front of the coach so the tow car had to be parked partially in the street. The roads are very wide and easy to navigate. There is very nice grass all around the pad, and two small dog parks. The GPS directed us correctly, but it took us through downtown which is very tight with low clearances. We took an alternative route (even out of the way) when we left to avoid downtown. Be prepared to cook - there are not many places to eat in Deer Park, although there is a nice grocery store. We camped at Deer Park RV Resort (formerly Spokane RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Jim & Mary's RV Park, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground - our second stay here. The gravel roads were a little narrow but navigable. The gravel pad was level and very long and wide enough. There was a nice grass area between sites with a table. The utilities are well-positioned. The wifi was satisfactory, and we had no satellite issues. As has been mentioned, there is a train that comes by a few times a day, but it is not bothersome. We would defineitely stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Snake River RV Park & Campground, Idaho Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good campground for a short stay. It is easy to access from I-15 and has gravel roads and pads. There is a small grass area between sites, which are fairly close together. It was windy when we were there, so it was a bit dusty. Our site was long enough for our coach and tow car, but it was not very wide. It also had a table and fire pit. There was a large tree, but we had no satellite issues. The utilities were well-positioned for our coach. We would consider staying here again if we are in the area. We camped at Snake River RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Rock Springs / Green River KOA, Rock Springs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second visit to this park for an overnight stop, and it seemed somewhat cleaner than before. It has a nice long and wide entrance with easy access off I-80. It has gravel roads and pads that were fairly smooth and level. Our site had a table (although it was pretty beat up) and a wind-break fence on one side. We would ask for an unfenced site next time because it made the site somewhat narrow and difficult to access the basement compartments. The trees are small so no satellite issues. It is a little expensive but convenient, so we would stay here again. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Cheyenne KOA, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

This is the best and nicest KOA we have stayed in. It has very easy access to I-80, and is convenient to downtown. Even with gravel roads and pads, it is well-maintained and very clean. We were escorted to our site (they were not very busy at the time) through wide and easy to navigate roads. The site had a table and small tree, so no satellite issues. The wifi was good, and it seemed to have several amenities but we did not use them. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

Limon KOA, Limon, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This was a good campground for an overnight stop. It is close to I-70, and they were able to accommodate us on short notice due to the weather. It has easy-to-navigate gravel roads and pads and was a bit messy due to the rain (we had to position our rig around a big puddle at our front door). The utilities were well-located and the pad was level. There are no trees so no satellite issues. We would stop here again if need be. We camped at Limon KOA in a Motorhome.

High Plains Camping, Oakley, Kansas

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good campground for an overnight stop. It is very easy in-and-out and close to I-70. The roads and pads are gravel, and it was a bit messy due to a lot of rain. The pad was level, and we had no satellite issues. The owner/host came out to help position us on the site. The utilities were centrally located and convenient. At check-in, the host mentioned several amenities that might have been enjoyable in a longer stay. We would consider staying here again if we are in the area. We camped at High Plains Camping in a Motorhome.

Chapman Creek RV Park, Chapman, Kansas

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice, small campground right off the ramp from I-70 west. All the directions on the web site were very good until the very end - there is a sign that tells you to turn into the second drive-way (so you are properly oriented to enter the park), but we saw it too late in the coach. We had to drive up a long residential road which allowed us to turn-around, but that was a little nerve-wracking. The park has wide gravel roads and sites, and the host escorted us to the site and helped position us. Our site was paralell to the road and had a table and a small tree (so no satellite issues). Our exit was uneventful but could have been fairly tight if a rig had been parked in front of us. We would likely stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Chapman Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Twin Fountains RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground which is easily accessed from the interstates. It is built on a hill so none of the concrete pads appear to be totally level, but they have a portion on which you can level with few issues. The roads are asphalt and fairly easy to navigate (as long as everyone is parked on their site). It is somewhat daunting as first when you drive in - you can see the office to the left of the gated entrance, but the signs tell you to drive straight. You have to wind around through a portion of the park to get to the office to check-in. While this is a little disconcerting, the roads are marked with large arrows indicating the directions. Our site was long enough, but you have to watch where the utillities are located relative to your rig. It was also wide with a small concrete patio and grass between sites. While there were some large trees, we did not have satellite issues. The check-in was very efficient, and they escort you to your site. I would recommend unhooking your tow car at check-in since you might have to work a bit to position on the site properly. We would likely stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Twin Fountains RV Park in a Motorhome.
