Water's Edge Motor Coach & RV Resort, Okeechobee, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small gated RV Resort 10 miles outside of town that's beautifully landscaped. There's a nicely decorated clubhouse and a lovely saltwater pool, a Cheekie hut on the canal, boat launch, and fish cleaning station. The sites are all level pavers with palm trees and shrubs on both sides for privacy. There's shuffleboard, horseshoes, and pétanque; as well as, a community fire pit with wood provided nearby. The Management is helpful and friendly and the monthly rates are very reasonable. There is no laundromat and no community showers but all sites are 30/50 amp and full hook up. We stayed in a roadside lot and while there was some road noise, we weren't bothered by it at all. This is the nicest park for the price in the Okeechobee area. We truly enjoyed our stay. We camped at Water's Edge Motor Coach & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

River Camp RV Park, Meeker, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 2 weeks, parking right along the White River. It was a nice, quiet park. There were no showers or bathrooms but porta-johns were available for tent campers and there are full hook ups for RV's. The hosts/managers were friendly. We were scheduled to stay at another park but after visiting there, we drove to this park and were fortunate to find an available site. We would stay here again. We camped at River Camp RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Iroquois Campground and RV Park, Peru, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This was a decent place to stay for the month we were in the area. The monthly rate was reasonable. While we didn't find the people of New York to be particularly friendly, the gentleman that manages this park is an exception once you've been there a while. Most of the sites are occupied by seasonal/annual campers so as is often the case, weekends were busier and a bit louder. Lots of shade on each site. We were happy for a larger outdoor rug as the sites are quite sandy. We would stay here again if we were in the area. We camped at Iroquois Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pocahontas State Park, Chesterfield, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We were in this park 2 weeks and would have stayed longer if it hadn't been for park policies limiting your stay to 14 days in a 30 day period. The restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms were clean and park hosts friendly. We enjoyed the well maintained bike trails as well. We camped at Pocahontas State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Picture Lake Campground, Petersburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We were pleasantly surprised with this park. When we pulled in we nearly turned around and left. The park is occupied by mostly full time residents who work nearby. We didn't see many spots available. However we ended up in a space more than long enough to accommodate our truck, fifth wheel and bass boat. The staff was pleasant and very accommodating and other campers were friendly. It was too early in the year for the pool to be open but the laundry was fairly clean. We didn't have need to use the restrooms either given the sewer hookup. We will return to the area in September and will stay here again. We camped at Picture Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
