Robidoux RV Park, Gering, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed at this park several times. The only negative factor about this park is the cable TV setup-it's complicated and sometimes doesn't work We camped at Robidoux RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Douglas KOA, Douglas, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

It's old, but clean. Like many others, there's not been any money put in upgrades/improvements for many years. Staff was friendly and the store/office was well stocked. Take Exit 140 from I25 and it's fairly easy to locate-just follow the signs. Facility wise, I've stayed in much better KOA Campgrounds-like concrete pads, etc. I would stay there again. We camped at Douglas KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Cabela's RV Park & Campground, Sidney, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Park is clean, well kept, with grassy areas between sites. There are full hook=up pull throughs, best tent sites I've ever seen and some sites with electricity only. This park is unattended and is on a first come, first served basis. Pay by credit card at the drop- In or go in to the main store to Customer Service. There's a lot of road/highway noise. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Near a Wal Mart and Perkins. Town is reasonably close by but few stores for shopping. A couple of flea Markets are downtown. With the sale of Cabelas to Pro Bass Shop, there are many empty buildings which used to house Cabelas Headquarters, etc. If you want a site, get there early, especially during the summer months.

Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Irresponsible Dog owners, and motorcycle owners are not compatible with RV Parks. Dog owners do not comply with cleaning up after their pets. Motorcycle owners continue to revive the engines at all hours. One RV owner did not understand the rule of not washing their RV. These infractions detract from an otherwise beautiful park. Management does not enforce their rules. The cable TV reception was very poor during our stay and WiFi was none existent. Although not free, the pancake breakfast is very good. The entrance to our site is at an incline and requires a very tight left turn-extreme caution is necessary. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Green Trees Crazy Woman Campground, Gillette, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Cash only basis-no credit cards accepted. Steep incline at the entrance. No cable. This is not the worst RV Park we've stayed at, but it's right near the top. Office is dirty and in disarray. No discount was offered. No information/pamphlets on nearby attractions was available at the office. We camped at Green Trees Crazy Woman Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Peter D's RV Park, Sheridan, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Close to the Interstate, but quiet. Very clean park. Many places to go and see in Sheridan. RV Park is reasonably close to downtown, shopping and eating establishments. Friendly Staff. Grass between the sites. Owner has a garden and shares fresh veggies with the customers. Highly recommend this park. BTW, it is 25 miles from the Montana border. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Casper is a very difficult city to navigate. The only thing close to this RV Park is Fort Caspar which was interesting to visit. There are no eating or shopping facilities close to this RV Park. There are no tables or fire rings available. It's almost like parking in a big gravel parking lot. Location is not convenient to Interstate 25. No outside garbage cans, by your RV, are permitted and dumpsters are not conveniently located either.

J & C RV Park, Alliance, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Very small, cramped and no frills type park. It is clean, the owners very nice, but there is a lot of railroad and highway noise. Would not accommodate large motor homes. Water supply is shared by adjacent campsites. No tents because there are no facilities. All things said and done, this is the best rv park in town. No picnic tables or cable TV is available. We camped at J & C RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cabela's RV Park & Campground, Sidney, Nebraska

This park is still first come first serve. No attendant is on duty. When we arrived, we had to go in to the store (Customer Service) to register and pay because there were no forms at the office. All gravel roads, and narrow campsites. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Shopping at Cabela's, Wal Mart close by, restaurants, gas stations are conveniently located. Construction on streets makes downtown travel a real chore. Cabela's is the second major employer to either close down or downsize and the town is being heavily impacted.

Holiday RV Park, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Next to I-80 so expect highway noise. Just once we would like to have some water pressure at an RV Park--not here. Very old park with huge trees to navigate. Filled to near capacity each night, but nothing is put back into improvements. First time ever that we tripped a circuit breaker on a 50 amp service. Irresponsible pet owners were abundant--park had a pet area, but nobody used it!! Several long term occupants. Power washer would work wonders in cleaning dry bird dropping off of the picnic tables. Didn't see any site prep between occupants and we were there 3 nights. Some sites have hookups at one end and may not work with some new RVs that have the hookups at the center. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

This a very old RV Park in the heart of tourist country. As such, expect to pay a little more than most other parks. Even though they take in an inordinate amount of fees, very little is put back into the park. In example, concrete slabs could be put in gradually. Current pads are very narrow, close to each other, and in some instances very uneven. There is a gas station at this park, but no diesel fuel is available. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This is one the best RV Parks I've ever seen and/or stayed in. It has 400 camp sites (pull thru and back in), 50 cabins, and tent sites. The streets are asphalt, and the slabs are concrete and are of sufficient length to accommodate the longest motor home and dingy/trailer. We camped at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Deadwood SD is closeby. Pleanty of places to go see, and things to do in Spearfish and Deadwood. Live entertainment is usually there on Friday and Satruday nights. There is a problem with speeding, within the park, and motorcycle noise after quiet hours.

Jellystone Park Camp Resort at Sioux Falls, Brandon, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Old RV Park with gravel roads and gravel pads. It is near an Interstate highway, so expect some highway noise. It has large established trees and fire rings. The fire rings are extremely close to the RV and could pose a serious safety hazard if there were a camp fire. This park has recently implemented a policy whereby the customers are supposed to wear wrist bands--very bad policy which should be abandoned immediately. We camped at Jellystone Park Camp Resort at Sioux Falls in a Fifth Wheel.

West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA, Gretna, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Very old campground with huge trees throughout. Extremely poor entrance to the park with a steep and sharp incline. I'm always afraid my 5th wheel will come in contract with my pickup bed. Several RVs were long termers in this park. Excellent pizza though. A lot could be said about a power washer to clean off the dried bird droppings from the furniture and patio. The concrete slab was also covered with a thin coat of dirt. During out stay, our water supply was also being used to water some new sod, thereby reducing the already deficient water pressure. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
