Gulf Coast RV Resort, Beaumont, Texas
Date of Stay:
November, 2015 -
$20.00
Overall Rating:
Sites are concrete and level. Campground is well maintained except for two big potholes when we were there. Good access to sites. Hookups all work. Cable good. We rated it "7" because of noise. I-10 runs along one side, a TX highway runs along the other. A frequent train sounds like it runs through the park! Park has free breakfast each morning - waffles, bagels, sausage gravy, doughnuts, coffee, juice. Very nice. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Albuquerque Central KOA, Albuquerque, New Mexico
Date of Stay:
October, 2015 -
$47.00
Overall Rating:
This park is in town, but Albuquerque is spread out and you still need transportation. There is access to busses within a couple blocks and the Enterprise and Hertz offices are nearby. The park is well laid out with roomy sites and level, gravel surfaces. It's well maintained and service is friendly and fast. It's right next to the Interstate but there's a tall concrete wall and traffic noise diminishes greatly after about 9pm. The park has lots of trees, although not all sites are benefited. We camped here in a 35' motorhome. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Albuquerque Central KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a small park with full hook ups and can accommodate very large rigs with their toads. Downside is highway noise. It's pretty close and loud. Pilot truck stop is almost next door. But very convenient and well maintained. We'd stay again. We camped at Ivy's Cove RV Retreat in a Motorhome.

Boone KOA, Boone, North Carolina
Date of Stay:
October, 2015 -
$36.00
Overall Rating:
Several miles from town in a beautiful, quiet setting. Road to the park is narrow and winding but doable. Sites shaded, thickly treed, but very difficult to level. Our pull through site had big trees so close at the front that we chose to back out and had to ask a camper if he would move his truck so that we had room to do that. We camped at Boone KOA in a Motorhome.

Arrowwood Cedar Shore Resort, Oacoma, South Dakota
Date of Stay:
July, 2014 -
$35.00
Overall Rating:
Lots of large shade trees. Large grassy playground. Right on the beautiful Missouri River. Very large paved sites. Full use of the resort -- restaurant, pool, tennis court, marina. 1 1/2 mile, paved trail along the river. Completely quiet. Loved this place. However, they need to update/renovate the bathrooms. They're like as expected at state/county parks but not at this "resort." We camped at Arrowwood Cedar Shore Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a relatively small area with lots of mature trees. Very well maintained. Level, gravel sites. Excellent bathrooms: clean, lots of hooks and racks for your stuff. Trails accessed from the campground. Quiet. There are 2 campgrounds - pull-through sites at Summit and back-ins at Terrace. We would definitely stay here again.
