Taos Valley RV Park & Campground, Taos, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Sites were gravel with a small cement patio and grass/bushes around each site. A little too much greenery which encroached on our site. Hookups worked well, site was level. Good location. Verizon worked well. We camped at Taos Valley RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

El Cuevo is a great hole-in-the-wall restaurant; New Mexican food that was really great and good prices! Be sure to walk across the Rio Grande Gorge bridge. It is an amazing view of the gorge! There is a parking area on the west side and a trail that goes for about 9 miles along the rim. We walked about 2 miles and then turned back. The views of the gorge were spectacular. Taos Plaza is a fun place to stroll and shop.

Roadrunner RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is basically a gravel parking lot. The sites were pull-through, wide and roads were easy to navigate in our 45' motor home. The place was clean and well kept but lacked visual appeal. They could really improve this place by trying to spruce it up visually. It was a great value for Santa Fe. The rate reflects a weekly rate. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Diesel available at the Kicks 66 station right next door. We loved Bandelier National Monument, very interesting place. We also did a great hike at Kasha-Kutuwe Tent Rocks National Monument. We also enjoyed strolling the galleries on Canyon Road and the Plaza in downtown Santa Fe. We took a drive to Los Alamos and went to the Manhattan Project National Historic Park and the Bradbury Science Museum. They were both informative and interesting, really great!

Elks Lodge #969 (Members Only), Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice RV Park. Gravel roads and gravel site. There was a patio with grass. There was 50 amp and water at each site. The sites were pull through, very long and wide. They were set up front door facing front door. Dump station on site. The grass needed trimming. Good location for visiting Roswell. We camped at Elks Lodge #969 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Idyll Glen RV Park, Lago Vista, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

There is a big hill coming in. The roads were very tight for our 45' motorhome and it was very hard to maneuver into our site. We scraped branches as we exited. Hook-ups all worked well. We were able to get satellite service although it was a wooded campground. Staff was very nice. Verizon service worked okay. We camped at Idyll Glen RV Park in a Motorhome.

Paisano Village RV Park & Inn, Terlingua, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice campground still under construction. The staff/owners are really nice and are working hard to make it appealing. Electric worked well, sewer also worked fine but the water pressure was very low. Our site was very narrow although some sites were wider. The location is very good for visiting the National Park and Terlingua. We camped at Paisano Village RV Park & Inn in a Motorhome.

Belly Acres RV Park, Ajo, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very basic campground. All gravel throughout the park. It is well kept but they should put some effort into sprucing up the appearance. The staff were really nice and helpful. The roads were easy to maneuver in my 45' motor home. Very good location for visiting Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. We camped at Belly Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bushman's RV Park AKA Bushman's Camp, Bullard, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, spacious, level, paved sites. Only negative was there were lots of fire ant hills. I think they could have done a better job at treating them. Otherwise this was a beautiful place. We camped at Bushman's RV Park AKA Bushman's Camp in a Motorhome.

Gulpha Gorge Campground (NPS Campground), Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park, spacious sites, nicely wooded but we were still able to get satellite reception on our site. Campground host was extremely nice and helpful. Our site was not level and it looked like most sites were not level. If not for this I would have rated this campground a 10! Also, there were a lot of ant mounds. I got a few fire ant bites so be careful. We camped at Gulpha Gorge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park, Hollister, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Great location for visiting Branson. This campground was nice but the negatives were low branches that should have been trimmed, sites were not level and they were not paved, just gravel and dirt. Roads were easy to navigate but also dirt; would have liked to see them paved. We camped at Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

The Campus RV Park, Independence, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Good location. Cement pad was level with grass between sites. Sites were pretty close together. Roads were very easy to maneuver. The grassy area between sites was not kept well; lots of dirt patches. Overall it looked run down. Verizon cell service was fine and we did receive Direct TV satellite reception. Covered Bridge RV Park & Storage, Fenton, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Sites were fairly spacious, level, cement pads with grass between sites. Roads were also cement and easy to maneuver around. I deducted points because the concrete was very broken up with weeds growing all around. There were many permanent residents who stored junk all around their sites. Also, this park is in flood plain which I did not know and we were there during some very rainy days causing me some worry. Luckily all was fine and the staff was very nice. With a little effort they could make this place very nice. Verizon cell service was fine and we did get Direct TV satellite here. We camped at Covered Bridge RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

Good location for sightseeing in St. Louis. Gateway Arch was amazing. Bogart's Smokehouse had great ribs! We attended Beer School at the Anheiser Busch brewery which was a lot of fun. You can take a free tour there also with samples! City Garden sculpture park was fun. Visit the Soulard Farmers Market. The Cathedral Basillica had the most amazing mosaic collection, largest in the world I think. Don't miss it.

Illiniwek Park and Forest Preserve, Hampton, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground right on the Mississippi River! Sites were gravel/dirt with grassy areas. Some sites were quite spacious and others closer together. Most did not seem to be very level but we managed okay. Some low hanging branches in sites. Verizon service was okay. We were able to get satellite reception. Electric and water at each site but no sewer connections. Dump station on site. Good location for visiting Davenport and the Quad Cities. Viking Village Campground & Resort, Stoughton, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

First let me say this place is beautiful. The sites are spacious. The grass and grounds are well taken care of. There is a nice pool. Now for the negatives: There is no sign on the road to indicate the entrance to the park. Internal roads are a little narrow and dirt/gravel. Most sites are not level, we were able to move sites to get a level one (17). Staff that checked us in gave us no information regarding rules, trash, etc. and no paperwork. Our mail had been delivered before we arrived but the staff was not able to find it. It took till late the day after we arrived to find our mail on our front step SOAKING WET! No explanation was given. Over the weekend the voltage dropped to 106. The staff was aware there was a problem but we were not alerted or compensated. We were not able to use A/C the entire weekend we were here. WARNING: There are recessed fire pits in every site and some are very hard to see. It would be easy to miss them and fall in and have a terrible accident......very dangerous in my opinion. There are low hanging branches in many sites that need to be trimmed. We paid the weekly rate but at first they charged us wrong (daily rate) and I had to go back to the office to get it corrected.. We camped at Viking Village Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice adult campground. Kids are not allowed. Roads were gravel but wide and easy to navigate in my 45' motorhome. Owners were very nice. Sites are grassy with gravel pads. Our site was a level pull-through and fairly spacious and long. All utilities worked well. Park is clean and well maintained. Easy access to all the touristy things in Wisc Dells. Hy-Land Court RV Park, Ellison Bay, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice RV Park, great location. Sites were spread out and we backed up to a cherry orchard. There was a steep hump when entering from the second entrance and we have very low clearance; we made it okay but it was close. Wished we knew about this beforehand. If you have low clearance call them and ask for directions to the third entrance which is not marked. Verizon service was excellent. We were able to get Direct TV satellite from our site (D14) with no problem. Gravel roads, they were easy to navigate with our 45' motor home. We camped at Hy-Land Court RV Park in a Motorhome.

We took the ferry to Washington Island from Gills Rock with our bikes. Rode all over Washington island. It was great. Went to the Explosive Fish boil at Rowleys. Food was "eh", but the show and experience was terrific. You must go to Fred and Fuzzies for a meal or a drink. It is an amazing setting in Sister Bay. Of course see the goats on the roof of Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant in Sister Bay.
