Cayuga Lake State Park, Seneca Falls, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Arrived after dark for one night stay. Site was decent. Next morning discovered campground appeared to be extensive (both sides of main road leading down to the campground). Appeared to be lots of treed sites versus our overnight spot. Only campground we have ever stayed at where we had to show dog vaccination certification. We camped at Cayuga Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Ives Run COE, Tioga, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We love COE parks. However, this one was showing its age with narrow winding campground roads, tight sites, and average washrooms. A fair drive in from the main N-S interstate as well. We would likely not return. We camped at Ives Run COE in a Motorhome.

Fort Chiswell RV Park, Max Meadows, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very accessible RV park from I-81. Exactly what we were looking for for an overnight stay. Mostly pull-through sites. Ours had a concrete pad. Minimal (nonexistent) privacy between sites. Very clean washrooms. Friendly staff. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Huntington / Fox Fire KOA, Milton, West Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

A family oriented campground, which becomes apparent the moment you approach the main gate with the pond, the pool, and kids everywhere. Lots of congestion and lack of privacy with sites close together, limited space for vehicle parking and tight roadways. For a multi-family or group gathering with young families, this place may be great. But it certainly did not meet our desire for space, privacy, and peacefulness. We would not return. We camped at Huntington / Fox Fire KOA in a Motorhome.

Fransted Family Campground, Franconia, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Very family oriented campground. Staff were friendly and helpful as we checked in at dusk. Would definitely recommend this campground. Had both secluded sites in the trees and open sites in a field RV park area (of course, not as much privacy as one would have in the trees). However, we had a great site on the edge of the field near the washrooms for our overnight stay. We camped at Fransted Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Kiwanis Oceanfront Camping, St. Andrews, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We had an oceanfront site. All gravel and absolutely no privacy. Only a picnic table separating us from our neighbor. WiFi was terrible. Washrooms were located at the back of the park. Would stay here again because the town and the ocean view are worth putting up with the shortcomings of the RV park. We camped at Kiwanis Oceanfront Camping in a Motorhome.

Hartt Island RV Resort, Fredericton, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Unfortunately, there are not many choices in and around Fredericton. So, supply and demand at its best for the overnighter. Lots of crushed rock, minimal grass between sites, road noise, and highest prices of any RV park or campground we have stayed at across North America. A cross between an interstate RV park and a family entertainment center. Would reluctantly stay here again based solely on location. We camped at Hartt Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Jennings Ferry Campground COE, Eutaw, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Wow. What a campground. Trees. Water. About a ten minute drive off I-20, but well worth it. Paved throughout, with concrete pads. We even had a wooden deck at our site on the water. Highly highly recommend. We camped here overnight. Will definitely be back. We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Camping in the Smokies RV Park, Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Impressive campground. Friendly staff. Paved, crushed rock throughout. Lots of grass, well treed. Pride of ownership extremely evident. CLEAN bathhouse/washrooms. Only drawback is situated beside highway, so traffic noise during the day. Definitely would recommend. We camped at Camping in the Smokies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground, Yuma, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient access from I40. We arrived late. Phoned ahead and were met by very friendly gentleman who escorted us to our site. Concrete pad. Staggered arrangement for privacy. Some permanents. Clean washrooms, showers, with upgrades underway. Everything we needed for one overnight stay. Conveniently did our "check in" paperwork and paid the next morning. Friendly staff. We camped at Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.
