Dinosaur Valley State Park, Glen Rose, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little state park. RV sites are pretty tight. Pretty camp area. As with most Texas State Parks no sites have sewer service. All back-in sites.A dump station is provided. We had site #18 and it was definitely tight to get my 32" bumper pull in, and barely got my pickup out of the road. Site was nice and feet away from the river, however the river is not accessible from the RV sites due to steep banks. It about a 20 minute hike to river access or you can drive and park. If seeing the dinosaur tracks is of utmost importance call to check, if the river level is up they are covered and not viewable. Nice river to play and swim in, not really floatable because of a lot of shallows and only a couple of places on the park that have river access. I would recommend Site # 17 , it was next to us and was much larger and had a nice rock firepit. No AT&T service in the park. We camped at Dinosaur Valley State Park in a Travel Trailer.

WinStar RV Park, Thackerville, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean and well laid out. The roads and pads are concrete. The lady who checks you in is a delight and makes the check in fun after a long drive. This is pretty new park and there are a lot of trees, they just aren't big enough for shade yet. In 20 years this park will be beautiful. The pads are double back to back pads, but if you order a pull through you get both spots. The sewer location was a little awkward for my trailer. Be sure and check its location prior to unhooking. It's a short distance to Winstar Casino.(but you can't walk it). There is a shuttle that operates every 30 minutes. I didn't use it but noticed it coming by regularly. Other reviews mentioned there was a problem with the shuttle, but they fixed that issue I believe. Nice pool which requires a code and basketball court, and other amenities. We camped at WinStar RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Durant / Choctaw Casino KOA, Durant, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a park that has been well laid out. All driveways and pads are concrete. We stayed in a drive through site and it was easy in and hookups and utilities are conveniently placed. Cable TV worked well. Not really any shade trees at sites. Each site has a concrete picnic table with a shade. Each site also has a small raised cooking grate( so bring your charcoal if you want to cook a steak or burger or hot dogs! The check in was quick and easy. The office area is very nice, spacious and clean. Game room area and a large meeting room as well. The pool looked nice although we didn't use it. There is a dog park which is divided into 2 separate spaces. This park is conveniently located to the Choctaw Casino. (Across the road) There is a 24 hour shuttle available to and from the Casino. If you are visiting the Casino this is the place to stay! We camped at Durant / Choctaw Casino KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Weatherford / Fort Worth West KOA, Weatherford, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Located only 1 block off of I-20. It is very easy on and off the interstate. This is an excellent park for a short stay. The staff is very nice and helpful. Most of the sites are full timers. There is a nice grassy area for pets and a small clean fenced dog area. The sites are close together but adequate in size for a short stay. The pool seemed to be clean and is fairly large. There is definitely some road noise from the interstate. If passing through we would stay again. Cable TV did not work. We camped at Weatherford / Fort Worth West KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Circle B RV Park, Ruidoso, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is Good Sam's rate. This park is about 5 minutes from Ruidoso on the East edge of town on Highway 70. This is a very clean very quiet park. It sets about 30 or 40 feet above the highway so you really never hear any traffic, but traffic isn't an issue anyway. 50 amp service was good, cable TV worked , and Wi-Fi was good. All sites are pull-throughs and they do a good job of trying to leave a spot next to you to park. You won't be disappointed by staying here. We camped at Circle B RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Guadalupe River, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very well maintained park. Very family friendly with a lot of activities available. Beautiful access to the river. The river here is very shallow and fishing isn't possible. If you want to fish you'll need to go into town where its dammed up. They pick up trash every morning. It is very secure with personnell driving around most of the night. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Guadalupe River in a Travel Trailer.

Flatrock COE, Coleman, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Corps of Engineers project on Hords Creek Lake. The park is very clean and beautiful with oak trees all over the camping area. Very quiet camping. The lake is low due to drought conditions. If traveling through this area near Coleman Texas and you need a place to stay this is an excellent choice. Not fancy but clean, quiet, and beautiful. We camped at Flatrock COE in a Travel Trailer.

Rio Vista Resort, Kingsland, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in a great location to get on the river. The Colorado River here is wide enough to ski on, and works its way to beautiful constant level Lake LBJ. There is a boat ramp and slips for you to park your boat. The pool seemed nice. The check in was easy, they had our reservation and I was out of there in 5 minutes. There are quite a few permanent residences here even some old mobile homes. It is pretty tight and there were some spots that would take some jack knifing to get in. I wouldn't go so far to call it a resort but I would probably stay here again, especially if I want access to the river/lake. My cable didn't cooperate but there were a lot of channels on the antennae. We camped at Rio Vista Resort in a Travel Trailer.
