Pride RV Resort, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful, well maintained, and convenient CG located less than 1 1/2 miles off I-40. Staff are always friendly and helpful. We stay every time we're traveling along I-40. Sites a close, but very adequate, heavily shaded and level. Sewer connection conveniently located near the middle of the site. Beautiful mountain stream running along the back of the CG with a nice park area including benches and double swings. As mentioned above, we stay here when passing by, but we want to come here as a destination to visit Maggie Valley, Cherokee, Waynesville, NC, all of which are nearby. We camped at Pride RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Whispering Hills RV Park, Georgetown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Campground was very comfortable and well laid out. Nice pool for a refreshing splash. Water, electricity, and sewer available. Sites next to beautiful pond were significantly sloped down toward the water. Campground staff provided additional cement blocks to support stabilizers due to the slope. Bathhouse provided private rooms containing individual shower and restroom facilities. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Chicago Northwest KOA, Union, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here while visiting Chicago. Approximately an hour and half bus ride to downtown Chicago. Good facilities, well maintained, and clean. Pretty standard KOA park with all standard amenities. Would stay here again. Our site was a pull-through, parallel to the driveway with a nice swing in the shade, overlooking a big green grass way. Very comfortable. We camped at Chicago Northwest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Wisconsin State Fair RV Park, West Allis, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We got stuck in the "overflow" lot, possibly due to error on part of the tour company with which we were traveling. Nevertheless, the site was terrible. Site was unlevel, cramped, gravel lot, and we were squeezed in among fairground trailers and temporary living quarters. Water and electricity was available. No cable or wifi. Would not stay here again. Would prefer a Wal Mart parking lot. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Brown County Fairgrounds, De Pere, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here with a tour group. Somehow the Park was not expecting us so they had to scramble to make arrangements for us (24 units). The grounds superintendent worked extremely hard to accommodate us and was successful. I had a shady spot on the grass, which was a premium site, in my opinion. Most of the rigs parked on pavement in a parallel parking fashion, rather unusual. Most sites had water and electricity, a few units had to dry camp. No sewer, but dump station is available. Bathrooms were decent, but cold, no heat. We were here during an unusually cold period for this time of year. No wifi or cable. Limited over the air TV. Park is adequate for a brief stay over, but not a resort by any means. If I'm back this way I'll probably look for something. We camped at Brown County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Munising Tourist Park Campground, Munising, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely breathtaking views of Lake Superior. Some campsites open and sunny, our sight was shady and waterfront (site 77). Sewer hookup located back at rear of site, requiring lengthy sewer line. Managed only to wade in the lake for a short time as it was cold!!!! Sites were roomy and level. Bathhouse convenient and clean. No cable and virtually not antenna TV. Wifi did not work at our site, too far away according to Management. Located approximately 3 miles from downtown Munising, MI where Pictured Rocks Cruises, a must. We camped at Munising Tourist Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lakeshore Park Campground, Saint Ignace, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, small park with mostly open campsites. Absolutely beautiful view of the Straits of Mackinac, link between Lake Michigan and Lake Huron, and the Mackinaw Bridge. Great location to visit Mackinac Island and Mackinaw City. Plenty of gasoline, diesel fuel, and propane gas within 1.5 miles on US Hwy 2. Would stay here again. Aune-Osborn Campground, Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful CG located on the banks of the St Mary's River separating the US & Canada. Beautiful sight on St Mary's River with 1000 foot vessels passing by the CG heading to/from the Soo Locks, traveling between Lake Superior and Lake Huron. No shade, but no problem as we experienced cool temperatures. All sites were back-in, gravel, level, water and electricity, but NO SEWER. This is a big drawback to me and would probably prevent me from returning. Showers were very nice, private and clean. However, no heat in the showers, and being a southerner temperatures in the 50's necessitate heat. Plenty of hot water though, so the shower was successful. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Country Acres Campground, Gordonville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Probably one of the nicest CGs I've stayed in. Park is well designed and sites are superbly landscaped. Convenient to many tourist attractions, such as Sight and Sounds Theatre. Will stay here anytime we're in the area. The staff made arrangements for me to check-in early, as we had tickets to the mid-afternoon show at Sight and Sounds. Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC), College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

Very helpful and friendly staff. Visiting niece in Silver Springs and this park is a great location. Cherry Hill is great location and best facility in the DC area. CG is always well maintained and bathhouses are immaculate. We stay here anytime we're in the DC area. Be patient, I-495 traffic is always heavy. Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort , Emerald Isle, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

Our experience was very good. Office staff very helpful and friendly. Park was in excellent condition. They experienced damage during Hurricane Florence, but have recovered nicely. Large sites with 30 & 50 amp service at most. (Our site was 30 amp only, sufficient for our camper.) Nice site map at their website with clear notations regarding electrical service at each site. Multiple bath houses located throughout the park, very well maintained. Park is oceanfront with beachfront canteen at top of the dunes. All facilities not opened at this time, due to early season, but they have a beautiful pool, go cart track, convenience store (with wine section), bike trails through Emerald Isle with convenient access to shopping, restaurants, and ice cream parlors. Cable TV available. Did not use wifi, in favor of hotspot. Nice sites suitable for all size rigs. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Raleigh Oaks RV Resort, Four Oaks, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. Stayed here a couple of years ago and it was nice, but since then they have improved the park even more with neatly landscaped grounds and neatly groomed RV sites. Park paths and sites are rock with wood borders. Easily accessible hook-ups. This park really goes out of the way to serve the campers. They provided Hamburger Steak, gravy, onions, green beans Thursday night $3.00 per plate; happy hour for adults Friday night with complimentary beer, wine and snacks; hamburger, hotdogs, chips and lemonade for $5.00 per plate Saturday night, followed by poolside DJ and dancing. Great family environment. Excellent experience. We camped at Raleigh Oaks RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC), College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. Wonderful location to Washington and Baltimore. We've been to Washington many times but first time to the Museum of the Bible and Air & Space Museum at Dulles (amazing). Convenient transportation via Metro and interstates. Staff and facilities were excellent. Stayed in site 606, premium pull thru, spacious, level and easily accessible. Only issue was a wedding reception was held at the Ballroom and the thruway to the Ballroom ran by our site. Wedding party didn't understand the importance of low speed within a campground. Speed control should be stressed to non-campers by guards when granting admission. Enjoyed our stay. Will come back. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Travel Trailer.
