Arrowhead Point Campground and Cabins , Buena Vista, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Narrow, rutted gravel road to the office located in the back of the RV Park. Sites are wide gravel back in sites with table and fire ring. The office/store was well equipped. The staff did their jobs but not friendly, almost abrasive. The WIFI connected but has terrible bandwidth making it not worth the effort. The park is located 4-5 miles from Buena Vista but we had no cell service. I was able to hike up a steep hill to the tent camping area and got 3 bars. The laundry had new equipment but small washer tubs. The showers were unisex and clean. First time I've ever seen a coin operated shower. Bring plenty of quarters. There is no grass but our dogs learned to use the gravel. This park came recommended by another park owner. Regrettably, I should have relied on camper recommendations as we had plenty of other good looking, clean parks to choose from in the area. We camped at Arrowhead Point Campground and Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Laramie KOA, Laramie, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Located behind a large Pilot station, next to an interstate highway and in the middle of a mobile home park, we stayed at this KOA Park four 4 nights without regret. Entrance to the office is asphalt with no speed bumps but beware of the rain water channels necessary for this part of the world. The connecting roads and pads are gravel, smooth and flat. The parking pads are all pull-thru but the grassy space between sites is narrow. The neighbor's slide out extends over the seats of my picnic table. The office staff and ground crew are friendly and helpful. The office is well stocked and the campground is location 3 minutes from town. The WIFI is good but spotty at peak hours. The showers were clean and well maintained. Laundry has a good number of new washers and dryers. Nice play ground but I didn't see a pool. Ample areas to walk the dogs and there are a number dumpers around the parks for garbage. The park is well maintained and neat. We camped at Laramie KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Columbia Falls RV Park, Columbia Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park but the sites are close together. Easy entrance to the office but unnecessary number of speed bumps. The sites are level gravel with lawn grass between and around the area. Office is equipped, bathrooms clean and the staff friendly. Good WIFI and cell service. We camped at Columbia Falls RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Canyon RV Resort on Sinclair Creek, Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park. Easy entrance and asphalt to the site, which were gravel, level and wide. The sites were close but plenty of lawn grass everywhere. No problems walking the dogs. Many of the sites had families in for the summer but quite and clean. The showers were clean and well maintained. WIFI was good and the cable provided had good selection. The park is located in a valley so there is no hope for satellite TV but they do provide cable. We camped at The Canyon RV Resort on Sinclair Creek in a Travel Trailer.

Hinton / Jasper KOA, Hinton, Alberta

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The drive in is on good asphalt to get to the park located behind ranch houses and barns and is several hundred yards off the main highway. No road noise to speak of. The staff was friendly and the office/store well equipped. The roads and pads are gravel and the sites are level. There is nice space between sites separated with lawn grass. Nice dog park and plenty of grassy areas to walk the dogs. The showers were clean and well maintained. WIFI was limited but gets better when people leave. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The Hoodoo RV Resort & Campground, Rosedale, Alberta

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Your first impression is a long rough dirt road leading to the office and an equal length leading to you gravel parking pad. The space is ample between sites but connected with poorly maintained field grass. The WIFI was intermittent having low signal strength. The bandwidth was good if a connection was made. Most of the residents use the Park as a permanent city gets away. The office was well stocked and laundry very accessible. There is plenty of area to walk the dogs. I didn't use the shower facility which was a good distance from our site but was a solid brick building and look good from a distance. The permanent sites are nicely fences in and well maintained. The residents take pride in their sites. Several have award plaques for best yard. Despite the high number of permanent sites, the park had a nice community feel to it but I still hate the dirt, dusty road. We camped at The Hoodoo RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Gas City Campground, Medicine Hat, Alberta

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

What a find for a city park! Price per night is $53 Canadian, $40 USD. The park was clean, isolated, good shade and easy access to the City. The roads leading to the park and well as the park roads were all smooth and asphalt. Each site was spacious with well manicured lawn grass between neighbors. The sprinkler system was times not to interfere with the campers. We had easy access to the dumpers and showers, which were clean and well maintained. We had great WIFI, easy to connect to and good bandwidth. The office was well stocked and staff friendly. They even registered my e-mail to receive city news letters about upcoming events. Laundry was only open when the office was open. There is plenty of space to walk the dogs in grass or follow a city asphalt bike/walking path that goes into prairie land farther than I could walk. The parking pads were long and level but gravel. We camped at Gas City Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sherwood Forest Golf & Country Club, Regina, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The 3 mile gravel entrance was probably the biggest negative and first impression. The sites are all back-in, having level gravel pad, good space between sites but field grass between sites with bare dirt in spots. Each site has 50 amp service only (no breaker) so bring adapters if something less is required. No WIFI at our site. The staff is friendly and cooperative. The RV Park is isolated from the golf course with a card reader on the road I think mostly for parking control of the golfing public. Many of the sites, all neat and managed, are filled with summer residents enjoying the isolation but not too many workers. Showers were hot, clean and comfortable. We visited early June so the sand bottom lake hadn't been filled. Looked like a nice vacation playground. We had plenty of grassy walk areas for the dogs. We camped at Sherwood Forest Golf & Country Club in a Travel Trailer.

Canyon Creek RV park, Tulsa, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This campground looks to be new with a lower section currently under construction. All sites have a level concrete pad, water, electric, sewer, free cable and WIFI (Great bandwidth). Nice lawn grass between each site. Most sites have a fire ring but not many picnic tables. Shade is ok as they kept many of the oaks tree during construction. The staff was friendly but the office none existent (work in progress). The showers and laundry was clean and maintained. The only complaint is the park roads are dirt/gravel with a little bit of dust. We camped at Canyon Creek RV park in a Travel Trailer.

Blowing Springs Campground, Bella Vista, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is a long asphalt strip with back in parking on both sides located in a valley wooded on both sides. Each site has a concrete pad, table and asphalt parking. Each site has water, electric, sewer and free WIFI for $20 Bella Vista POA members. The space between the parking spots is the same width as the parking spot, maybe 15 feet. Nice space, with tables and plenty of green grass behind the vehicles. Not much in the park for kids but a bike park and 40 miles of bike paths just opened. There is a 50 and separate 30 amp section, although the 30 amp section closed for renovation. The staff was friend and helpful and take pride in their park. The showers and laundromat was clean, cool and functional. We spent 5 days over Memorial Day weekend and didn't feel cramped. We camped at Blowing Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Isle of Capri, Lula, Mississippi

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is a parking lot with RV hook ups connected with the Isle of Capri Casino. There is water, electric, sewer and free WIFI for $17. The space between the parking spots is the same width as the parking spot, maybe 12 feet. Nice space but there are no tables or fire rings, just an empty asphalt parking lot. This is not a vacation stay but for a night, it is secure, cheap and easy. The casino it's self, has seen better days. We camped at Isle of Capri in a Travel Trailer.

Lions Campground & RV Park, Leduc, Alberta

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice city park! The park was clean, isolated, and easy access to Leduc and Edmonton. The roads leading to the park are asphalt and some asphalt in the park. All other roads are clean river stone that doesn't produce dust. Each site was spacious with well manicured lawn grass between neighbors. The showers and laundry are clean and well maintained. We had good WIFI once a connection is made. The office was stocked with salted treats and ice cream and staff friendly. There is plenty of space to walk the dogs in grass or release into the dog park. Kids can enjoy a fenced park with plenty of equipment, basket ball court/hockey practice net. An asphalt bike/walking path connects to an adjacent, isolated city park. The parking pads were long, wide and level but small river rock. We camped at Lions Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA, Cleveland, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is good for an overnight. It has good access to the Interstate but has loud highway noise. The staff is friendly and helpful. The office and store is clean and the store has supplies. The showers are clean with plenty of hot water. The pull-through that I stayed in for a single night has a common utility island which means you share the space between your neighbors. Two tables and two fires rings doesn't leave much room for lawn chairs. The islands are field grass with spots of dirt. I'm glad I'm here when it isn't raining. The roads are hard compact gravel with dirt. All of the back-in sites and other section of pull-through site have normal separation between the sites is reasonable for privacy and have grass but might be a problem with rain. The pads are gravel and almost level. Several of the big rigs had wheels off the ground. There are several Wi-Fi connections to choose from but once on the bandwidth was very limited. I could download e-mail slowly but a simple Internet search was problematic. I didn't have enough bandwidth to search this site or post this review. We camped at Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Cleveland TN is a short distance away. Check out the fried pies and ice cream at Stadium BBQ. It was a very comfortable, friendly sports bar.

Campfire Lodgings, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Campfire Lodgings was a very pleasant surprise. Located on top of a mountain, views are breathtaking. Very nice seating arrangement to watch the sunset, drink wine, and enjoy the valley below. The premium sites have concrete pad and overlook the valley. Spectacular views. The deluxe sites are gravel pads and a 45 second walk to viewing location. Located 10 minutes from Asheville via I-26, we found the location to be easy access to most locations. The bathrooms and showers were individual stalls, clean and comfortable. The laundry room was convenient and took fewer quarters than most places we used. One of the campers backed over their water pipe, breaking the line. The camp was without water for several hours but the on-site maintenance guy as immediately on it. Poor design not to have zonal turn-offs but good response and good communications to let everyone know what was happening. The only negative I found was the 5 minute drive up the mountain. It was narrow and gravel. There was lots of dust on the vehicle, always. We camped at Campfire Lodgings in a Travel Trailer.

Inch Arran Campground, Dalhousie, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Inch Arran Campground

Dalhousie, New Brunswick

Best kept secret in Canada. Located at the edge of Dalhousie, a small NB town located right on the edge of the gulf of St. Lawrence. Wonderful people in the office, great people in the park. Our site was 100 ft from the sea wall. The birds loved my bagel. Community playground next to the park where children played unsupervised. The town has basic amenities. Dated, but clean showers and facilities. Part of camping price included access to indoor community swimming pool. We were transiting the area, one night only, so did check it out. We camped at Inch Arran Campground in a Travel Trailer.
