Coeur D'Alene RV Resort, Post Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Hello. This park had lots of shade. They had 1 nice grass enclosed area for our dogs. The other grass enclosed dog pen was littered with poop which we picked up at least 15 piles before letting our dogs in to play. It was a quiet park. The showers and restrooms were clean. Good water pressure and hot water in the showers. We did not use the laundry. The big downside to this park is that they allow very unsightly and unkept permanent trailers which make the place look very rundown. The location is close to I-90 and an easy drive to Lake Coeur d'Alene. We would probably not stay here again. Thank you. We camped at Coeur D'Alene RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Yakama Nation RV Park, Toppenish, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

No alcohol allowed at this park. The pull-through site we had was 100% black asphalt with no shade whatsoever. Very little shade elsewhere in the park. They have a nice paved 8/10 mile track around the park which was nice to walk the dogs. The Wi-Fi was very slow, so we ended up using our hotspot instead. Clean showers/restrooms. We did not use the laundry. Big outdoor pool. 20 minute drive to Yakima wine region. Pull-through sites very narrow. Our neighbor's slideout was inches from our picnic table. They offer a Good Sam or military discount, just ask. We would probably not stay here again. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Blackwell Island RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Hello. Great location. Our site was #26 and it was a gravel pad with grass. It was an end space with extra room which was nice. The showers/restrooms are all-in-one and clean. The shower water had good pressure and it was hot. There is little to no shade throughout the park as all of the trees are young. The enclosed dog play area is all gravel, no grass at all, which we thought was horrible. What dog wants to run on gravel? Do humans like to run barefoot on gravel? No. Neither do dogs. The trail to the river was nice and the water was clear and our dog enjoyed taking a dip. The laundry room is quite large with 10 or so washers and dryers. We would likely stay here again. Just wish the enclosed dog area was grass, not gravel. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sioux Falls KOA, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This was a stop-over for 1 night and our first KOA experience. Super friendly check-in with an escort to our large, level, gravel site. The enclosed dog play area was very good sized and it had a few agility course items, a bench, and some shade. The park is right off the highway with some highway noise. The showers were clean but it was a Navy shower head which feels like a million little bee stings and it's not adequate water flow to get the soap off quickly. Clean restrooms, too. We did not use the laundry. The WiFi was good. Except for the showers, we would recommend this KOA. We camped at Sioux Falls KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Cody KOA, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Hello. We paid a premium due to making a reservation at the last minute so all they had available was a large, gravel site with an extended concrete patio with patio furniture. The site was a pull-thru, level, and very roomy. It was directly across from the very nice enclosed dog play area. They did not escort us to our site but they were friendly at check-in. No shade trees to speak of. Great location just an hour outside of Yellowstone. Our memory is failing us as to whether the WiFi worked well but we're pretty sure it did. The showers and restrooms were clean. We did not use the laundry. They offered a free pancake breakfast in the morning which was nice. We recommend this KOA. We camped at Cody KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Jackson Hole / Snake River KOA, Jackson, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $89.00
Overall Rating:

For the price of this KOA it lacked WiFi and an adequate fenced dog play area both of which are features they say they offer but they don't tell you up front that the WiFi only works in the office and the fenced dog play area is very, very small and on a slanted hill! Also, be prepared to have a lot of tree sap drip onto your trailer and truck. It washes off but not without some elbow grease. They give a nice 10% military discount but you have to ask for it and show ID of course. The person who escorted us to our site and was very nice. The showers were clean and separate from the restrooms. The shower water had good pressure but at times was only warm, not hot. We did not use the laundry. The location was nice. It was directly on the Snake River. The campground was small and crowded. No privacy from the other sites. We might stay here again but likely we would look elsewhere. Thank you. We camped at Jackson Hole / Snake River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain Meadow RV Park and Cabins, Hungry Horse, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Hello. We were is space #11 which was an end site somewhat up on an elevated area. Our space had a good amount of privacy. The staff was very friendly. The dog walk area was uphill one way and downhill on the way back. There is no enclosed dog play area which would have made this park a 10 for us. The WiFi was very speedy and always accessible. The showers, restrooms, and laundry were all very clean. The shower water pressure was excellent (not a Navy shower!) and nice, hot water. Our RV is 30' with no slide outs and our truck is a Ram 3500 Mega Cab. We had ample parking for both. We highly recommend this park. Oh, they give a military discount. Just be sure to ask. We camped at Mountain Meadow RV Park and Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Sunrise Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Hello. The owners, Marty & Maryjo, were very friendly and excellent camp people! Marty escorted us to our site. They happily provided change for the laundry machines which were very reasonably priced. The restrooms, showers and laundry were all very clean. Dogs were welcomed throughout the park. There was a long path in a field behind the park to walk the dogs. The only thing that would have made this park a 10 for us would have been an enclosed dog play area. The wifi was very strong and always available. The campground location was excellent and very convenient to downtown Bozeman. The sites are positioned where you face your neighbor instead of facing the back of your neighbor which provides a little less privacy but fortunately we had great neighbors during our stay. Not all sites are like that so just ask for one facing the back of your neighbor if you prefer. Marty and Maryjo are great American's and we highly recommend their park! We camped at Sunrise Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground, Red Cliff, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Hello. The staff was very rude and unfriendly at check-in. They never smiled or made us feel welcomed. To use the wifi we had to go into the smoke filled lobby of their casino. No sewer hook up. The sites were very uneven, short and some are on a hill. The view of Lake Superior and The Apostle Islands was nice. The showers and restrooms were clean but the minute you step inside the building it stinks of smoke even where there are "no smoking" signs. Yuck! Gravel sites with grass and some shade. We would not recommend or stay here again. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Munising / Pictured Rocks KOA, Munising, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Hello. This park advertised wifi but once we checked in the wifi was non-existent. We waited until the next day and when the wifi still didn't work we called the office. A lady in the office basically told me we were wrong, the wifi worked and that was all. It never worked our entire stay unless my husband went up closer to the office but even then the wifi was weak. The spots are VERY wooded and damp and attract a lot of bugs. Great location if you are in town to see the Pictured Rocks Lakeshore. Clean restrooms. We didn't use the showers or laundry. We camped at Munising / Pictured Rocks KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping, Mackinaw City, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, LARGE campground with lots of shade, wooded areas. Great view of Mackinac Bridge. Lots of grassy areas to walk our dogs but no enclosed off leash play area. The trash dumpsters were only/all located at the entrance so you had to take it each day or keep until you wanted to walk up. Kind of strange that there weren't trash bins throughout to use. Wi-Fi worked well. We didn't use restroom/shower/laundry. Great location. Fair price. Somewhat small spaces but thankfully our neighbors were in smaller trailers than ours. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Leelanau RV Park, Lake Leelanau, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was friendly but the sites are very small and only a couple of feet from the next door neighbor. The site was concrete and a nice lake view. It's a large park with paved roads and ample places to walk dogs but no enclosed dog play area. The showers, laundry and restrooms were clean. There was shade at our site. The location is close to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We camped at Lake Leelanau RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
