The Playful Goose Campground, Horicon, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed over the Memorial day weekend, will not be back, seasonal's with 2 and 3 dogs all off their leashes, the couple next to us had the 3 dogs that pretty much starred at us if we sat outside in chairs or picnic table. They had said they have an invisible leash system, "but don't tell the office". Its too bad cause it could be a nice campground, large sites, very good location. The "junk" collection is nothing more than that, not a biggie to us. Might drive thru in the future to see if management cleans up on a few bad apple seasonal's. Site was great minus the neighbors dogs. We camped at The Playful Goose Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Bennett Spring State Park, Lebanon, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, large park, ton's of fishing going on. Stayed in campground #2 and yes as past have said it is a large hill going up from #1. Overall had a nice stay. Weekenders were a little loud, but expected. Sites were spread out nicely. Was surprised though how trashy the sites were. Spent a good half hour picking up bottle caps, wrappers and cigarette butts 6" from the fire ring, really :< (I smoked for 34 years and at least could make the ring and burn them.) The dump area is very poorly designed it runs downhill and left to right (even using blocks), so didn't get a good dump and had to re-flush at Loves on the way home. All in all, yes, we would stay there again if in the area. We camped at Bennett Spring State Park in a Travel Trailer.
