Charlie Lake Provincial Park, Charlie Lake, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We camp there for three nights and found it awkward the park was not full, the sites are very nice and clean, we soon found out the problems with this park. It was 34 C degree and we could not put our generator on, we have a Honda and they are very quiet. They only let you put it on from 9 to 11 am and 6 to 8 pm. This is a park with no power. We put our generator on one day at 5:15 pm because of the hot weather and the park authority came right away to tell us to shut it off and just start it at 6, the funny thing about this there was nobody next of us. Also we had some Christian music playing at 4 at afternoon and we had the volume at 2.7 very low and again the park ranger came to us and told us the music was to loud. Wow! this was the first time in our lives we were told the music was too loud at 2.7, we do lots of camping and respect other campers. Also just to mention someone a few sites away had music on and we could understand all the words of music and they were not told to put their music down... We did talk to other campers and their opinions were the same as ours. Also the nights are very louds from other campers partying, cant understand the logic of this campground. It is unfortunate and this is probably why this campsite is never full. I will also make a formal complaint to the BC Provincial Park Dept about the caretakers of this park. This suppose relaxing weekend was completely ruined. So disappointed! We camped at Charlie Lake Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.
