North Beach Camp Resort, St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

The CG was clean and quiet at night. Most of the permanent sites are nicely kept, but a few need attention. Sites are very spacious and the pull throughs can accommodate several vehicles. Access to the beach, intracoastal, and St. Augustine make this CG stand out. They have remodeled the pool area and did an outstanding job. However, they don't enforce the pool rules. People drive up and park or park across the street and freely access the pool. Adults doing cannonballs and drinking beers while in the water. Told the staff person and she was amazed that this was happening, but couldn't check it out as she was the only one there. Watch yourself on the roads as there are children driving golf carts at excessive speeds. Don't expect 1st class showers or bathrooms. Bring flash lights as it is dark on the CG roads at night. We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

The electrical in this park has been recently upgraded, but I was not able to run my AC and electric water heater at the same time as the breaker would go off. Switched the water heater to gas, but still threw the breker when using the microwave. This has not happened on other trips in different parks. The roads are narrow and in need of repair. There was a 2 or 3 inch drop off from the pavement in front of my site. It is best to scout out the camp ground to select a site prior to camping as many are very small, even though the map states otherwise. The bathrooms were clean but not air conditioned. Great access to beaches and walking and bike trails. We camped at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park in a Travel Trailer.
