Gladstone Bay Campground, Gladstone, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Great RV park in a great location. Fair amount of shade and always a great breeze coming off Lake Michigan/Green Bay. Sites are smallish (narrow) but adequate. Hookups in good location and water, electric, and wifi was good. There is no cable even though the website and their own brochures still state there is. RV park roads are easy to navigate and are paved, site pads are gravel. Great views of the bay. Park is on east end of Gladstone and you have to travel down residential streets to get to it. We camped at Gladstone Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Irish Oaks Golf course less is than 3 miles from RV Park, and is a nice 18 hole course with reasonable rates. Gladstone is only about 5 miles from Escanaba, which is a nice city with all the big city shopping and eating opportunities you may like.

Holiday Park Campground, Traverse City, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for the first 2 weeks of August and were very happy with this RV Park. Management and staff were very friendly, the sites were roomy, the water pressure was great, allowing us to take comfortable showers! The electric and cable also worked great and we were able to use the WIFI with no problem even though we were located almost as far away from the office as possible. This campground is kept very clean and well maintained. Hwy 31 is a very busy road and does run along 1 side of the campground but road noise was only occasionally noticeable and not a problem at night. The lake access is limited and there are not a lot of lake front sites and those go quickly. Being on the lake would have been nice but wasn't really a make or break deal for us. We made reservations in February for August and the campground already was running out of available sites, so if planning to stay here make your reservations early. We camped here in a motorhome with a towed vehicle and had plenty of room for both on our site. All the campground roads were paved and the sites were gravel and level. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.
