Old American Kampground, Newport, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 2 weeks. Hot tub out of service, boat launch out of service, laundry with 2 washers - one out of service. Lots of dust. The only plus is the nice employees. I wonder what K/M Resorts is doing ?? This is the poorest of them all too bad it's a great location. We camped at Old American Kampground in a Motorhome.

Wilderness Lakes Preserve - Thousand Trails, Menifee, California

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Nice Park good utilities seems to be very busy. I wish TT would crack down on the folks that have piles of junk all around their sites. It's one thing to have an old RV but your site need not look like junk yard! Verizon had a strong signal. We camped at Wilderness Lakes Preserve - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Hidden Valley RV Resort, Tijeras, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the lower section. The biggest concern with this place is speeding vehicles; many appear to be full time residents. I have seen cars going 30 MPH in the campground and no enforcement whatsoever. If you want your rig dusted daily this is the place. 50 amp service good, water good. Very dirty laundry room. We went into town to use a public laundry. They have a great location and nice nature trail. Too bad that only a little management would be needed to make this place a jewel. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mustang Island State Park, Port Aransas, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

facilities were ok, spaces are somewhat close together good 50amp service and water with a dump station at the entrance. 10 minute walk to the beach. It is unfortunate that the employee that checked us in wasn't very friendly and was very abrupt. I gave up asking questions because she acted like she was irritated. Texas state parks should have folks with friendly attitudes to check people in. We will probably go to the national seashore camping area next time. We camped at Mustang Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, Robert, Louisiana

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This place is really run down, garbage strewn about especially on the exit road, the utilities were in mud and water. We checked in and after that never saw a resort employee. The water was abruptly shut off for several hours, never did find out why. We were told that WIFI was available for free in the camping area....could not even get a signal. We were there for several days and on the last couple of nights we had a loud group of drunks next to us they played loud music and partied until 2 AM very inconsiderate folks. The posted "quite time" is 10 PM. This park is run down and apparently the owners are not improving it. We also woke up to gunshots on 3 of the mornings must be a shooting range nearby.. We won't return. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Small quiet RV Park, our site was somewhat unlevel but most looked good. Many trees provided shade the laundry was ok except the dryers were not working that great. It's about 20 minutes to town. We would return. We camped at Breckenridge Lake RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Bay View RV Resort, Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

First of all RPI members beware this place adds a $10.00 amenities fee!! So it will be over $20.00 per night. This is one of the highest amenities fees in the RPI system, we will not return.

The park in nothing special dusty roads run down facilities and sites. They are close together cable is an extra fee. The park wifi did not work unless you are in the clubhouse. There are many better RV park in Rockport. Its too bad the owner is not improving this park we were here in 2013 and there has been no improvement even though the price doubled! Place if full of sand burr stickers. We camped at Bay View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sanger / Denton North KOA, Sanger, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015
Overall Rating:

Great 50 amp power good water, free WiFi is OK not great. They have a few rows of nice paved sites. We were on gravel but each site is 90 feet long and spaced much better than most parks. RV tech available on site as is McClains RV sales. The only negative would be the I-35 noise even though the park is over a quarter of a mile from the freeway. We stayed here as Amazon Camperforce so the site was free. We camped at Sanger / Denton North KOA in a Motorhome.

Red River Ranch RV Resort, Thackerville, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Good power, good water many sand spurs everywhere. RPI members beware of rate. $13.00 base RPI rate includes utilities but then they add $5.00 for 50 amp and $2.00 if you want a pull-through. 30 amp is $3.00. So for a RPI member it is at least $16.00 for a 30 amp site and $18.00 for a 50 amp site. I did complain to RPI. We camped at Red River Ranch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pine Haven Retreat, St John, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice little park, sites are level grass with trees around the perimeter. Good 30/50 amp power and great water pressure. They have a new commercial washer and dryer. Park is set up for self serve payment. We only saw a couple of other RVs here for the 2 nights we stayed. Owners are a nice couple. Verizon signal was strong. We will return. We camped at Pine Haven Retreat in a Motorhome.

Blue Mesa Ranch, Gunnison, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Blue Mesa Ranch twice within a month. The first time they gave us a site on the west side of the park. The power was down to 103 volts at times! We asked to move east a couple of rows and the power was fine. They charge $2.00 per day for "cable TV" turns out it is air tv 4 channels! We used our own antenna which received the same channels for free. We asked to extend our stay 5 days and were told they would be full..well they had over 60 open spaces. May or may not return! We camped at Blue Mesa Ranch in a Motorhome.
