Silver Spur RV Park, Silverton, Oregon

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground, easy to navigate. Great office area and restrooms. Lots of places to walk your dog.

Gravel parking spaces, did tend to get water when it rained hard.

This is very close to the ORegon Garden, which is where we were attending a conference. Very convenient. We will stay here again. We camped at Silver Spur RV Park in a Motorhome.

LVM Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

Best park we have ever stayed in. Wonderful landscaping, 4 pools, lots of peaceful, paved streets to walk on. The restrooms at each of the pool areas were nice - actually only went to 2 of them though. Wonderful clubhouse and exercise room. The lots were lovely and ours had wonderful outdoor furniture and tiki style umbrellas. All hook-ups worked fine. We enjoyed looking at the sites that have the built-out kitchens. We will be back. There is airplane noise but we enjoyed watching the variety of planes fly over. We camped at LVM Resort in a Motorhome.

Burns RV Park, Burns, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here numerous times, and we like it. There are nice long spots for motorhomes and tows, easy in and out, hookups are good. It is a simple campground, not a lot of frills but very clean and nice if you are travelling through this area. There is a large area to walk your dog. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

Boise / Meridian KOA, Meridian, Idaho

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

I made reservation on line for our one-night stay. We wanted to get out early the next morning. When we arrived early in the afternoon the ladies at check-in were very nice. However, when I saw the space they had us in and I asked if we could be put into another space (both spaces were pull-throughs at the same rate) as we would not be able to exit our space without unhooking our tow vehicle. There were numerous open spots. They stated all were reserved.

Later in the evening I checked and there were still open spots that would have made it okay to remain hooked up to exit the park instead of unhooking and then re-hooking in order to make the sharp turn. I don't consider this good service. There were a couple of short motorhomes on our row as well as 4 open spots that we should have been able to use that were open all night.

Otherwise the camp is okay, good location if you have business in town, fairly quiet although there were a bunch of full-timers at our end with kids so we were careful to watch for them in the morning as they must have been running around before school - it was early! Bathroom was spotless. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Motorhome.

Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground, Virgin, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

The best place in the area to stay, in our opinion. Nice spaces with trees and firepits. The staff are constantly cleaning. It is right next to the Virgin river and you can walk along it. Easy drive to Springdale for restaurants, touristy shopping and entrance to the park. Campground is very near the Kolob Terrace west side of Zion park which we found to be a beautiful drive. We will be back. We camped at Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tucumcari KOA, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

There are some scary looking campgrounds in Tucumcari. We were there because we needed an unexpected motorhome repair. The KOA folks are very nice. It is a basic campground. Sites are okay and bathrooms are clean. We were so grateful for a nice clean campground to stay in after the others we had seen. Of course I found a large tarantula in the bathroom - what a surprise! I mentioned it to staff and they relocated her to a better place in the desert. That was actually a treat for me - have never seen a tarantula in the wild and after I got over the shock it was quite interesting. We camped at Tucumcari KOA in a Motorhome.

Portal RV Resort and Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground. We stayed in the campground, not the owners' side, and found it very nice. Wonderful views of red rock. Spacious sites, easy hook-up and in and out of the campground. A short distance into town. Not too much road noise. We did not visit or use the showers or laundry so have no notes on them. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Moab. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

United Campground of Durango, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We had a lovely riverview site (94/95). It was in the "longer" section and was not long enough to pull the jeep in straight behind the motorhome. There was no place to just let your dog run, just places for walking. The view of the mountains was beautiful and we really enjoyed the trains coming by in the morning about 8:15 and evening about 5. It is close to catching the trolley to Durango so you don't have to drive. We drove as it is just a couple minutes in but parking can be hard to find! We would camp here again. We camped at United Campground of Durango in a Motorhome.

Interstate RV Park, Davenport, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Easy freeway access. Had problems with Wi-Fi but that happens at a lot of parks. Sometimes you have to hit it just right. Plenty of space for our 38' plus tow. Clean campground. Got a tip from the lady at check-in for a close by restaurant that was awesome! The "Iowa Machine Shed". We camped at Interstate RV Park in a Motorhome.

Windmill State Recreation Area, Gibbon, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

What a beautiful park! There weren't many campers here when we stayed so there was lots of open space. The pull-through sites are rather odd in that they are just pull-offs from the road and if you have a slide-out it extends into the roadway. Other than that it is a well maintained state park, beautiful green grass and mature trees, lots of birds around to look at! There are two pond/lakes there too. We camped at Windmill State Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Burns RV Park, Burns, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park, this is the second stay we have had here. Sites are roomy, easy to access. There is some highway noise but with the windows closed we could barely hear them. There were lovely birds in the morning to listen to and watch. Great for walking the dog. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.
