Beaver Lake Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Great campground. Very friendly helpful staff. Nice site, gravel and grass and level for the site we had. Good open space with lots of trees. Free roaming rabbits live in the campground! Fun to watch them. This campground has the most wonderful showers I have ever encountered camping! All new showers and bathrooms were spotless. Lots of hot water! This campground is quiet, has nice camp store and prices aren't raised!! Liked staying here but if coming again to see all of Black Hills area, would choose a campground further north. otherwise, this place is top notch! The pool is solar heated, has a big slide for the big kids!! We camped at Beaver Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Oakdale KOA, Oakdale, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Campground right next to busy interstate, lots of road noise. Typical KOA. Good camp supplies and gift shop. Attendant was nice and helpful. We only stayed here so we could have sewer hookups. Most other campgrounds in the area only had electric and water with no sewer hookups. Thought it was overpriced for the location. We camped at Oakdale KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tincup RV Park, Mahomet, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice basic campground. Lots of shade trees, grounds kept very nice and it was quiet. Site was gravel and grass, very level, easy in and out. No groceries, no ice. Get ice at local station about 1/4 mile away. Nothing to do here but good place to stop for night or a couple of nights to rest. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground, Salem, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Country campground. A couple of miles north of interstate. Nice and quiet, good shade, level gravel sites with lots of grass. We didn't even have to unhitch or level up. No amenities at interstate exit, must go further north about 2 miles for gas, propane, some groceries. Campground did have ice for sale. Nice quiet overnight stop or even for a few days to just rest. We camped at Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Holiday RV Park, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very busy campground but lots of shade. Spaces are close but not tight. Other than interstate noise, was quiet. Older campground, seems to have some seasonal campers but very comfortable. Close to restaurants, stores. Gravel site that was very level and grass areas also. No campfires allowed due to city ordinance. Can use propane grill and charcoal grill to cook. Nice smaller clean pool. Loved having a pull through site. We have no complaints about this campground. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Riverside City Park, Scottsbluff, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This was a wonderful surprise! In the middle of the city and the price was great! We missed our road and had to find by phone map but easy to get into and close to stores. Also located next to the city's small zoo. We did hear a lion roar in the evening and in the morning, also some peacocks yelling but campground is quiet. Seems to have some locals camping for season but the campground had plenty of space and all other campers were respectful. We did not make a reservation in advance. There is a host camper that checks you in, takes you to your site. Very clean, well taken care of campground. No problem with outsiders coming in at night. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Riverside City Park in a Travel Trailer.

Under new owners, their first season. Very clean, restrooms are old but very clean. Wonderful breeze. Road noise but we ran our fan and it didn't bother us. There is shade on almost every site. Also a golf course next to campground. Has a camp store with some groceries. We would definitely stop here again. Very nice owners. We camped at Double Nickel Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Scott County Park, Bald Eagle Campground, Eldridge, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. Was given senior discount. Very nice and quiet. Seems to be a newer campground since trees are very young so there wasn't shade available. Very surprised that a county would have such a beautiful campground at such a low price for full hook up. We will stay here again if needed. We camped at Scott County Park, Bald Eagle Campground in a Travel Trailer.
