A real great sleeper of a park. Lovely rural setting, great field to walk our 2 dogs, nice folks, huge pull thru with giant trees. Just off 20 but very quiet. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Phoenix RV Park, Salem, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

As for facilities this park is a 10. The issue is location. Although near grocery, Walmart and shopping, the noise from the Safeway strip center on the other side of the fence was the worst we have ever encountered. At 6-6:30 every morning the trash guys came and dumped Safeway's dumpsters followed by delivery trucks all day. It is a bad neighborhood as well. Sites on the west side are so tight that our 5th wheel barely fit. Then there was the 1 ton pick up to park. When we arrived, we found out the city water supply was not usable. Do not book any of the first 2 rows on the west side. Very loud all the time. If you book, get an email confirmation as they sometimes reassign you and don't tell you that. We were so disappointed. We camped at Phoenix RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Spokane KOA, Spokane Valley, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

We booked a 'patio' site and it was large but not worth this amount. Gravel pull thru to short to safely park the 1 ton without it sticking out into the 'street'. Tight to get into a lot of spaces. Near 2 train tracks. One about 100 yards away, goes all day and all night, about 20 a day. Very loud since the street has to be crossed and they blow their whistles. Close to malls and shopping. We camped at Spokane KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

West Glacier KOA, West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful park very close to Glacier National Park, but a little further from gas, stores etc. Stunning location, gravel and concrete sites with manicured lawns. Dog park very small but acres to walk your dogs on. It has a restaurant and ice cream parlor. Good store as well. Our site was on the far north side and edge of park. We had a very large grass area just for us with beautiful views. We were there for 14 days. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The "road to the sun" was closed in Glacier due to heavy spring snow. So internal park access was limited. SERIOUS road construction on the east side of Glacier, so glad we stayed on the west side.

Mountain Valley RV Resort, Heber City, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best parks we have ever been in. Close to lots of things, Provo, Park City, etc. All concrete sites, grass. Our site was in the family section, larger ones in the 'adult only' section. HUGE dog park in back and a smaller 1 in front. Two pools, adults and family, with hot tub areas. Great laundry facilities. We camped at Mountain Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This could easily be a park to stay for the summer. With the altitude, the days are mild and the nights cool with lots of things to do in the area. Great grocery stores too, diesel reasonable.

Pocatello KOA, Pocatello, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Small park, off the beaten path but close to gas. Gravel sites, moderately level with a few tall trees. Signs everywhere to keep dogs off grass with a very small dog park. Average all around but they kept asking us to give them a 10. This is not a "10" park. We were there 1 night. We camped at Pocatello KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Panguitch KOA, Panguitch, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Very small old KOA right by a railroad track. When we got there, no one was visible other than a small dog running around. Owner was in the back. On large river and with 2 dogs who love water was why we booked this site. However, river swollen and dangerous. Lots of lush area to walk dogs. We camped at Panguitch KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Spent 1 night in our 5th wheel. Sites fairly level, gravel, very narrow, picnic table area about a 30 degree slope. Very narrow roads in general, hard to get around. Nice dog park. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA, Las Vegas, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Road to this park is extremely rough, luckily it is short. Nice views, large area. Even though close to I-25, not too loud. Gravel sites, dog park fenced in, but just rock, lots of weeds, lots of burrs.

Park needs some TLC, run down and the pull-throughs are a little short. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Go see Fort Union, 25 miles away. On the Sante Fe trail and worth the trip.

They also allow dogs in the area on leash, but snakes are all over, so be careful.

Circle B RV Park, Ruidoso, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is the second time we have stayed here in 2 years. The folks are nice but the park is declining. Roads are OK, sites gravel but can stand maintenance. The place is loaded with with weeds and burrs. With 2 large hairy dog it is a real issue. There are ants everywhere and it is worse this year than last. Needs some love. Won't go back. We camped at Circle B RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Angel Fire RV Resort, Angel Fire, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely one of the finest parks in the country. Beautiful setting, awesome fenced and turfed dog park. Still finishing the back area, but all large wide concrete sites, paved roads and beautiful landscaping. More to come, it will soon be very hard to get a reservation. Roads to it are also good, not a lot of climbing, 2 lane but easily managed. We camped at Angel Fire RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
