USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The park needs some oversight during the check out in the AM and later in the evening to make sure that sites are clean and the people checking in have complied with proper parking etc. No one from the office ever drives around to just take a look. The office does not answer the phone if they have a customer at the check-in, if only to put the caller on hold. Also, there are two permanent trailers that have more then 5 dogs each that is sure to be some city or county violation. We have stayed here over the last 15 years, due to location and decent spaces. The facilities are as they were when this was a KOA many years, with very little or no upgrades except to make repairs. Pavers were installed under metal framed picnic tables, but no attempt was made to level the pavers, so tables wobble in every direction. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

West View RV Resort, Dolores, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for two weeks in the beginning of July. This park had an excellent plan to move 2.3 miles north of Cortez to get away from the noise and lights. It is a quiet farm setting location, however, everyone forget to tell you that there is a very large lumber yard directly next to the park that starts with the nail guns, diesel trucks, and backup forklift beepers at 5AM and this goes on till midnight. The park has decided to have grass and they turn on the sprinklers full blast during the day, and with breezes this blows the hard water onto our RVs. Many have asked and do manage the water at their own site to keep this problem solved. They should water only early morning and at a very low volume. The RV parking area is gravel, however does not appear to be compacted road fill prior to gravel and RV tires sink in the gravel including one that had to be assisted out. No compaction and overwatering is going to cause great problems for the park. The staff and management does an outstanding job with RVers. We camped at West View RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
