Pumpkin Patch RV Resort, Hermon, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, well kept park. No pool. No cable. Nice dog park. Everyone, staff as well as guests, were very friendly. Most sites are fairly large with good separation from your neighbors. There are a lot of seasonals but that's because its a great place to come back to. Seasonal sites are well kept and neat. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Small bar/restaurant within walking distance. Dog groomer has a small shop onsite does grooming by appt. Did a great job on our Welsh Corgi at a very reasonable price. Grocery store, ACE Hardware, and banks within a couple of miles.

Timberland Acres RV Park, Trenton, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Site was long but very close to other sites. Some of the pull through sites in the "transient" section had a little more room on the sides but all are very long. Wifi and OTA TV were poor. No cable TV. Laundry and bath house were fairly far away. Sometimes difficult to make the turn out on to the main highway due to traffic, but location provides good access to Ellsworth and Trenton as well as Mount Desert Island. Satisfied with my stay but would probably look elsewhere next time. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Brattleboro North KOA, Brattleboro, Vermont

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is under new ownership. Owners are very friendly and are always visible and accessible around the campground. It is being very well maintained. Our site was an end site and as such had a large "front yard" which we enjoyed. We enjoyed our stay here and will return if in the area. We camped at Brattleboro North KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Saugerties / Woodstock KOA, Saugerties, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This appears to be an older campground. Needs more grass cutting and some upgrades, but the sites in the area we stayed in were a good size, level, wooded, and attractive. Staff/management was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and would return, We camped at Saugerties / Woodstock KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA, Clarksboro, New Jersey

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

We had reserved a larger site in another part of the campground. We had called well before our arrival and extended our stay. When we arrived we found that we did not have the site we originally reserved. Seems that when we extended KOA changed the type and location of our site but didn't tell us. The new site was s few bucks cheaper but no where near as large or as nice. There was quite a bit of rain before and during our stay. Site was very wet and muddy. Drainage in this area of the park is poor. Some minor regrading and some additional gravel would fix this. Our site was so small we could not use our fire ring if the site adjacent to us was occupied. We camped at Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Chincoteague Island KOA, Chincoteague, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

Full hookup pull through site. Great location in the park overlooking the meadow and the Chincoteague lighthouse. When we arrived the camper next to us informed us that the sewer connection had overflowed. This had been reported to the park and they had taken some steps to correct but on our last day we dumped our tanks and the sewer connection was filled to the top and not draining when we left. Other sites didn't seem to have issues just the last row. We camped at Chincoteague Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Savannah South KOA, Richmond Hill, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Had a full hookup pull thru site. Adequate length but site was so narrow I could not deploy my awning fully when a class A motorhome moved into the adjacent site. The site I was in had been recently excavated for an underground cable repair. There were orange cones and soft dirt blocking the front corner of the site. Oddly, I stayed in this campground in 2017 and site excavation for cable work was in progress at that time as well. Other than that service was excellent. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Encore Lake Magic RV Resort, Clermont, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Fairly large park. Close to area attractions. Reserved online. There were a lot of pull-throughs and some back in sites that weren't occupied. Sites were full hookup. A few sites were held by long term occupants and looked a little rough but in general it was a nice looking park. Very few shade trees. Small modular houses were just outside the park fence on several sides. Our site had a concrete pad but concrete was broken and badly cracked. Hookups showed their age but functioned well. We camped at Encore Lake Magic RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Stagecoach RV Park, St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice sized site. Hookups well placed though the water was at the opposite end of my rig from the connection point. Campground does not have a pool. We reserved online and were not aware the laundry and restroom building was closed for renovation. Management informed those who reserved by phone but had not posted online. That has since been corrected. Overall, this was a very nice park convenient to I-95, Outlet Malls, and about 6 miles from St Augustine center. We camped at Stagecoach RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Old Town St Augustine is just a few miles down the highway. Old Town Trolley shuttle bus will pick you up at the campground or you can drive in town and park at the Trolley for free. Parking at the visitors center is $15 but there is plenty of parking, under cover.

Mount Pleasant / Charleston KOA, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent location. Staff is friendly and helpful. Site was level. Connections were well positioned with the exception of sewer which was a good distance away. Unfortunately, with a little rain the entire campground becomes a mudhole. Understand that there had been quite a bit of rain but there were obvious low spots in need of attention. Needs major regrading and stone spreading and/or blacktop or concrete of roads and sites. WiFi was unreliable. It was slow but eventually quit working entirely. We camped at Mount Pleasant / Charleston KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Presents alternatives to downtown Charleston. Access roads take you to nearby shopping and restaurants without going back out on the highway. Patriot's Point is a great location for ferry to Fort Sumter and Water Taxi to downtown Charleston, though parking for the Water Taxi cost $12, parking for Fort Sumter was only $5. USS Yorktown, USS Laffey, and USS Clamagore are available to board and tour.

Only stayed one night during a trek north on I-75. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Sites were not very level, gravel and grass. Lots of gnats. This place was adequate but needs some updates.
