RV Park USA, Comfort, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice, well kept, park with friendly office staff. Power good, water pressure good, WiFi good, cable TV good. A good value and would stay here again if in the area. If you are Eastbound, the turn to get onto the road that leads into the park is a hairpin so prepare for a sharp turn while at the exit stop sign. Sites have concrete curbs and a small landing so pull to the right of your site so you do not have a gap between the RV and where your feet land. Our site was fairly level and quiet. We camped at RV Park USA in a Travel Trailer.

Big Texan RV Ranch (formerly Amarillo Ranch RV Park), Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is an average RV park with bad WiFi. They are badly in need of a major upgrade to their WiFi system. Park is clean, power good, water pressure good, site fairly level, cable TV good. It is an OK place to stay but will bypass Amarillo from now on. Very little to do here other than spend the night. We camped at Big Texan RV Ranch (formerly Amarillo Ranch RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Big Texan Steak Ranch is a ripoff. Big prices for average beef. Some smaller RV parks South and East a much better value than this park.

Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park, Quanah, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Good park to stop at for overnight. Sites fairly level, gravel and grass. Water pressure good, power good, WiFi good. Easy in and out off 287. Cable TV leaves something to be desired but it was better than nothing. Grounds were clean and staff helpful. I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Bluebird RV Park & Campground , Wills Point, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

An average RV park with grass and gravel sites that are fairly level. Power good, water pressure good, cable TV good, WiFi good. Road noise is somewhat of an issue but with the AC on after driving a long ways, did not bother us. Laundry facilities good. Staff very helpful. Dukes Travel Center nearby and they have great BBQ beef and pork. Well worth the stop to eat there. We camped at Bluebird RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Very nice park, clean, well kept. Power good, water pressure good, WiFi good, cable TV good, everything works as it should. Good space in between sites. Free shuttle to casino. Outside picnic table at every site. Just off the Freeway but very little noise can be heard inside the RV. Certainly worth the stop if in the area. Lazy Days RV Resort, Hitchcock, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is mostly full timers living in all kinds of trailers even one horse trailer with living quarters. Pads are small and some have a drop off on the sides and ends. A lot of working people living here so there is a lot of early morning traffic leaving and some just getting home from work. Water pressure good, power good, site was not level due to cracked concrete. All back in sites with a lot of extra vehicles sitting around. This is like a mobile home park but with all RV's. Children abound and some trailers have a lot of toys sitting around and under the trailers. If you cannot find anywhere else, a one night stay would be OK but be looking for a better RV park. I would not stay here again. Would be better off dry camping. We camped at Lazy Days RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Coushatta Casino Resort Red Shoes RV Park, Kinder, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Sites all concrete and level. Power good, water pressure good. Cable TV and WiFi work good. Park is clean and a shuttle will come by to take you to the casino. Requires player's card to get the above rate but that is easy to get. A little out of the way but at least you have the casino for something to do. Park could use more lighting. Security good, comes by often. We camped at Coushatta Casino Resort Red Shoes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sandpiper RV Resort, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are level and all concrete. Water pressure, power, good. Cable TV does not have many channels but useable. Good security at night with the gates being closed; a code will open them if you need to get out late. Park is clean and well kept. Would definitely stay here again. Call ahead well in advance for reservations as a lot of the RV's stay for extended stays. Park is small so not many spaces in total. We camped at Sandpiper RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Safari RV Park, League City, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Roads getting to this park are horrible. Narrow and very rough. Inside the park not much better where the RV's park, large potholes. Power and water pressure good, site level. Staff friendly and helpful. Have to drive a ways to get supplies. Would stay here again if I learn Calder road has been fixed and widened. We camped at Safari RV Park in a Motorhome.

Galveston Island State Park, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed at the bayside area. Good power and water pressure. Get in your space before dark as there are no lights whatsoever in this area. Site was level and firm. No savings here as you can stay in town for $3 more, and have Wi-Fi/cable TV. Bugs are a problem so have spray with you. Clean park. We camped at Galveston Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Inks Lake State Park, Burnet, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

A well managed and clean park with friendly and helpful staff. Be sure to drive into the RV site area and make sure you get a site that is fairly level. Our pull through site was way out of level so we had to go back to the office and get one near it. Great view of the lake from almost any site. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

River Ranch RV Resort, New Braunfels, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a well managed, very clean park. Staff helpful and friendly. Convenient to NB stores and sites. Sits between two bridges, one of which is 24/7 busy I-35. Traffic noise constant so spending time outside is not as pleasant as we wanted. Wi-Fi works very well and the cable TV does also. Good power and water pressure. Our site was two inches off level. Nice place for a stop over or a short stay. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Motorhome.
