Castlewood Municipal Campground, Castlewood, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful city park campground that accepts reservations but you can just drive in and take any vacant site unless they have put paper tag on pole because it is reserved. No water or septic but does have good 20-30-50 amp service. Site pads are level dirt/gravel but entire site/park has thick grass. No host so you pay at drop box in center. We camped at Castlewood Municipal Campground in a Motorhome.

Lum Park, Brainerd, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly Host and told me to watch Brainerd Ski Loons who would be practicing that evening on Lun lake. Beautiful city park overlooking lake. Sites are very large with grass/gravel pads. Good thick grass throughout sites. Electricity & water were good, no sewer but they have easy access dump. About half of sites have satellite access. Verizon very good. Wish I could come back again. A few sites and access to park is big rig friendly. All sites are easy back in. We stayed here in 44' MH and pad had room for Jeep. We camped at Lum Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Was allowed to drive park and select preferred site and setup then return to office for registration. Site had small water view. Very good Wifi and Cell service. Utilities were good. Site was mostly grass with RV parking on gravel. Some road noise during the day but not loud. Would stay here again. We camped at Bay Mills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Jack Pine Lodge Campground, Manistique, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly park host couple. All utilities worked good and park is very clean and pretty. Large sites but very little grass, mostly dirt. Site parking was gravel. Wifi worked very good throughout park. Wifi was installed one week earlier for the park, you use to go to office for Wifi access. Cell service does not exist at park or for 10+ miles in any direction. Large horse flies that bite during my mid July stay. We camped at Jack Pine Lodge Campground in a Motorhome.

Dutch Treat Camping & Recreation, Zeeland, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I give 1 star due to many trees with low hanging branches. Now have scratch 2/3 way down length of coach. It's very obvious the owners have no care about your RV. Sad, but the check-in rules list various fines if you damage any park equipment. But they pay you nothing for low tree branches damage. Dirt site so soft jack pads sink. Obstacle course driving trying to avoid tree branches. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED THAT YOUR RV WILL SUSTAIN DAMAGE! Utilities okay, roads dirt, many seasonal full time sites. Sites are very close together and none are at 45 degree angle for easy entry. Roads are narrow. We camped at Dutch Treat Camping & Recreation in a Motorhome.

Grandma's RV Camping, Shepherdsville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Was greeted by old man asking "what do you want?". Replied I called and made reservation and his reply "well, did you get one?". Then told to go pick out site and come back in 1 1/2 hours to register. Signs said no refunds and you will be required to leave park if pet rules not followed. 100 % gravel RV park, no grass except outside park along the road. Water connection is about 18" below ground making a back bending experience to connect. Water connection is next to sewer so it would be very easy to spill sewage in water connection hole and no good way to be cleaned. I sprayed bleach on connection prior to hookup. Electricity voltage very good. Lady who registered me was very friendly. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Motorhome.

Victory RV Park and Campground, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

At time of reservation I was made aware of the race track and again at check in. I should have understood what a problem the track is when you are warned twice. The track is only 1/4 mile away and they did not stop until 12:15 a.m. The staff are friendly and park very clean. The sewer connection did require hose extension to reach as it is in the front 1/4 of site with electric & water in back 1/3. Water spigot leaked causing large mud area. No picnic table. Is well off the interstate so very quite when track is closed. Route in on public roads has low hanging tree limbs that contacted MH. Would stay again but only Sunday - Thursday nights due to track. We camped at Victory RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Terre Haute KOA, Terre Haute, Indiana

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Staff were friendly and lead us to our site. Site was FHU gravel. Cable TV was so snowed that could not watch. Preparing to leave the water will not turn off. Friendly staff came to check and said this valve is bad and to turn off you must leave handle in slightly open position. Told him I was not born with that knowledge so why did they not tell me this at check in or have replaced valve. Total waste of my time when I could already be on the road. Did not try WiFi. Electric was very good at 120v on each leg. Sewer hookup was broken so just set hose into opening. Park can handle a few big rigs and our rig total of 62 feet fit end to end on site 4. This KOA is very over priced and does not meet the standard expected for KOA. Would only stay again if only option. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Motorhome.

Pumpkin Patch RV Resort, Hermon, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff pleasant to visit with and guide you to site. They provide written directions to just about anywhere you want to visit in area. Clean spacious sites. Good cable and Wifi. Stayed in pull-through that required wood blocks under tires on driver side to level and keep tires on the ground. That requires a lot of wood blocks for four tires. Ice cream social had excellent cream and toppings. Rate includes PPA discount for 5 nights and two nights no discount. Easy entry and exit with 44' rig and toad. Will stay here again. Wakeda Campground, Hampton Falls, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly check-in staff. Stayed in pull-through site that was easy entry and exit with 44' rig plus toad. Site was nice and clean. The site had no cable or WiFi so I feel the site is overpriced. No discounts for pull-through sites. All sites have fire pits with many in use resulting in the campground covered in smoke. Must get on hand and knees because park requires use of provided wood blocks under jacks. I will stay here again if I can not find another campground. We camped at Wakeda Campground in a Motorhome.

Tri-State RV Park, Matamoras, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Arrived without reservation and park was full. Owner chose to do something she had never done and put us on Delaware River frontage boondocking site for no charge. How can an owner be anymore kind and helpful. Visited with owner and learned they are in process of upgrading sites, adding few more sites and improving overall appearance. From my boondocking site I could see the marker where PA, NJ and NY meet. Wonderful site and enjoyed watching two Otters play and kayakers paddling down river. Pull through sites and roads are okay for Big Rigs. Husband & Wife owners along with son and staff were very friendly and helpful. Son explained the history of site back to the 1700 hundreds. I look forward to staying here again. We camped at Tri-State RV Park in a Motorhome.

Candy Hill Campground, Winchester, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly check-in staff and guided to site. Pretty campground and wide sites. Now the bad, overpriced and site less than 75 yards from interstate highway with all the traffic noise. Cable did not work and WiFi was very poor quality. Must pay for better quality WiFi. Stayed in their luxury site and had to move their BBQ grill to far end of site because it stunk so badly. Roads are narrow but no problem with big rig. Will not stay here again due to noise, stinky grills, cable broke, poor WiFi and overpriced. We camped at Candy Hill Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy Big Rig access off I-81 but 8 miles on good highway. Roads & sites gravel and mostly level. Cable TV works well and Wifi just okay. Utilities work as should. Clean park with friendly staff. Park terraced on hill but easy driving through park. Stayed in pull through site with easy access and fit 62' rig & toad with ease. Would stay here again. River Country Campground, Gadsden, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Guided to site 10 PT that was large enough for 62' rig & toad. Easy access off I-59 with Big Rig and within park. Roads & sites gravel and all utilities worked as should. Cable TV did not work but Wifi was excellent. Park had received much rain over past week but no standing water. Site was waterfront and many sites are back-in on waterfront. Beautiful and clean park. Security gates for entry & exit. Experienced one tree limb that needed cut but did not see others. Would stay here again. We camped at River Country Campground in a Motorhome.

Friendly staff and park was very clean. Gravel & paved roads, sites gravel or concrete pads. Mix of all. Stay at site DT-2, 44' MH leveled without problem on gravel site. Site large enough for MH & Toad = 62'. Electric, water & sewer worked okay. Park had received large amount of rain for past week so all the grass was soggy as would be expected but no standing water. Easy access for big rig off I-59 and into park. Wifi worked very well. Would stay here again. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Motorhome.
