Rush-No-More RV Park & Campground, Sturgis, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in one of the smaller sites but it fit our 40-MH and gave us some shade. Park amenities include outside pool and hot tub both open until 10 PM.

Restrooms are meticulously maintained and cared for by paid staff. Wednesday evenings the Beer Garden is open for a jam session with local musicians playing from about 6:30 until they wear themselves out. These are professionals as well as amateurs playing all types of music. Wide open sites some with private hot tubs and patios with tables, chairs, and propane grills. Lots of turkeys and deer wander throughout the well-maintained campgrounds.

Our only complaint was that most of the sites were not level. We saw many rigs with the wheels 6-8 inches off the ground, as were ours. We camped at Rush-No-More RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Sturgis is a VERY small town but has some good eateries. Campbells Hardware is the place to go if yu need something in that line.

Spearfish is a few miles up the road and has a Walmart TSC lots of restaurants and other sought-after items.

Rapid City is about 25-miles the other way, has two Walmarts, good eats, and a lot of tourist attractions that are worth the price of admission.

Delta Shores Resort and Marina, Isleton, California

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $4.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for the first time and found the park to clean with plenty of grass for the dogs to run.

There are a very few 50amp sites and we were fortunate to get one.

Staff friendly and accommodating. We received UPS and mail there. We camped at Delta Shores Resort and Marina in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Isleton has an historic section of town. Lots of Chinese influence and good Chinese restaurant and Deli there.

Lodi is about 12 miles and has a Walmart and Costco. Rio Vista is simply over-priced.

Lighthouse Marina & Resort, Isleton, California

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Campground nicely shaded by a canopy of trees along gravel driveways.

The biggest drawback to this park is the well deserved reputation for having long-term members in row E who disrespect the people passing through. The long-term members tend to annoy, harass, and disrespect the other campers.

Management has little control over these long-term dwellers who have a sense of entitlement.

Would we camp there again? Only of there were sites available away from row E. We camped at Lighthouse Marina & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Shopping in Rio Vista is for those who want to spend more than necessary. Lodi is about 12 miles away and has a Walmart and Costco. Isleton is a quaint town with a historic center steeped in Chinese culture. Good Chinese food and a Deli across the street in historic section.

Verde River RV Resort & Cottages , Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

We had a very poor experience with someone in the office who I presume was the manager. She told us that we had underpaid by several dollars during the first force days visit at the park but we needed to pay more for the last three when I declined because I realize that she was ignorant of the pricing structure that she had agreed to with Coast To Coast memberships we opted to check out and find other accommodations for the next three nights. If you get the right person in the office you can have a good time at the park it is level, secluded, and spacious. However if you get the wrong person in the office be prepared to either overpay by three times or prove to the office staff that your price is the one they should charge. Because people to people trumps people to campsite I cannot give this campsite any more than two buttons had this person not been ignorant rude and inconsiderate I would give this campground eight buttons. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.
