Four Oaks RV Resort, Four Oaks, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We lucked out and took the only available pull through, which was on a gravel pad. The campground is full of run down mobile homes that look like they haven't been cleaned or maintained in years. To call this an RV resort is definitely playing loose with the term. Although the work kamper that greeted us was friendly, the management was tense. I would not recommend this place. We camped at Four Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is well located as a base for visiting Charleston. It is well organized with easy in and out of sites. Our site was a pull through. Although there is a pool it is at the front of the campground and did not appear to be well used. The staff were friendly and very helpful in suggesting places to visit and eat. The only negative to the park is that it is very difficult to turn into the park if you have to cross the Savannah Highway. The highway is extremely busy and we discovered motorists were not that willing to allow you to cross the highway. We camped at Oak Plantation Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If using a GPS to locate this campground ensure you enter the city at John's Island. This way you will be making an easy right turn into the park. Whereas if you enter the city at Charleston you will have to make a left turn across the Savannah Highway.

Seasons in the Sun RV Resort, Mims, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is divided into 4 sections. We stayed in the Groves section. Good sized lots with a cement pad. Easy back in. Full service. Although we were warned that we may not have good Wi-Fi at our site we had no problem. The laundry room we used was small with no place to sit while waiting for laundry to be done. There were 3 washers and 3 dryers. The restrooms are clean and contain both the toilet and the shower. The staff are friendly and helpful. We are pickle ball players and enjoyed playing on the pickle ball courts (2). New nets were installed while we were there. The resort is strictly RV with no mobile homes. Some of the seasonals are old but not trashy. We never got to try the pools but they looked good. The landscape is well maintained. We would definitely recommend this place. We camped at Seasons in the Sun RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
