Quiet, clean, easy in and out, 24 hr check-in and convenance store. Water at site was turned off until April for winter. Water was available at dump station. No sewer hook up at site. AT&T worked well. We camped at Downstream RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Country Sunset RV Park, Panhandle, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a no frills, super clean park, just what you need when coming in to Panhandle. Big-rig friendly and easy access to I-40. The owner is what makes this place GREAT! Fair rate, great Wi-Fi, and service with a smile. The BBQ area is a nice touch if you want to get outside. The laundry facility was always spotless. Make sure to give this place a chance if you are just passing through or coming to town for work. We camped at Country Sunset RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stony Fork Creek RV Park, Candler, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a great find for us. The owner is most likely the nicest person we have ever met in all of our travels and we would not hesitate to return to this park. The original RV spots are located next to the creek, however, the owner has expanded the park and has added 4 full hookup sites on the opposite side of the road away from the creek. This was not an issue for us as we were not wanting or anticipating a creekside spot but if this is important to you, I would ask, as most of those sites were occupied by long term campers. The park is gravel, we had to level just slightly but this is not uncommon and does not annoy us. As there are no bathhouses, you must be self contained. Not an issue for us either as we always use our own bathroom anyway. Great water pressure! No AT&T cell service in the valley, however, because the Wi-Fi worked great, I was able to connect my Iphone to Wi-Fi and receive phone calls that way. The closest grocery store is approximately 7 miles away, and downtown Asheville was approx. 20-30 minutes away. Overall, a great spot to relax for 10 days while still being close enough to go explore the surrounding areas. We camped at Stony Fork Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

City RV Park , Mobile, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I'm not sure why this park has not received any reviews since 2013, but it is still here and has spots available for daily, weekly, or monthly. We pulled in for two nights and stayed for two weeks. Make sure to ask about weekly rates as they do not advertise them over daily rate. This park is dated, make sure to wear your flipflops to the shower (as we are self-contained, we did not use the showers but we did walk in for a look). There is laundry on-site, we did not use it, but the machines looked to be in okay condition. The wifi was amazing! Our connection was never slow or interrupted. The only thing about this park that I will stress is that it is located in a neighborhood. I would highly recommend that big-rigs take Howell's Ferry Rd and making your turn onto Dover, this will allow you to avoid the low hanging trees through-out the rest of the neighborhood. We camped at City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sentinel Peak RV Park, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

The rate is for a monthly stay. This park is small and cozy! The owners are very nice, and as they are RV users as well, they know what it takes to own/run an efficient RV park. Previous comments about the internet are no longer an issue as there are now 2 towers, allowing for fast, un-interrupted wifi use. The pool is a small, unheated splash pool. As it is November, it's too chilly to use, but it will be a nice perk for the summer months. There is a Food City grocery store across the street that is easy to walk to and return with groceries, as well as a larger Safeway grocery store less then one mile down the street. Also, there are several fast food or sit-down Mexican restaurants that are within walking distance as well. Although the area that the park is located in looks a bit run down, we never felt unsafe during our walks. During our 2 month stay, there was a Thanksgiving potluck, Christmas potluck, several game nights, movie nights, and lots of friendly smiles and fun get-togethers. The workampers during our stay were amazingly friendly and overall great people to represent the RV park. We would not hesitate to stay at this park over and over again! We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Abe's RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Monthly Rate. Some of the best customer service out there, quiet, low traffic, lower water pressure, good power. Family owned & operated RV park, the owners are friendly, attentive to your needs and actually contact you when you have a package arrive in the mail. Unfortunately some of the roughest paved roads out there. A few years ago we wouldn't have stayed here, but the owners have taken steps to clean up the park and it has made a difference. The owners have added some new concrete pads and pedestals. There are some old and run down RV's in this park. We camped at Abe's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
