Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped here for 3 nights. The campground hosts are wonderful: helped us park, and even relocated us so that our rooftop satellite would work well. The site was fairly level and long enough for our rig and truck. The electricity was very stable. The wifi wasn't that good probably due to heavy usage by others. The grounds are well kept. The host is always on patrol making sure everything is in order. We will stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Faribo Campground, Faribault, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The owners are very friendly and helpful. The site was fairly level, but a bit tight for a 42 foot rig. The wifi was non existent, but our Verizon mifi worked ok. The park is older and has a lot on long termers in it. It is a good spot for an overnighter, but not so much for long term. The value is just not there for this park. We camped at Camp Faribo Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Eagle Ridge RV Park, Eagleville, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We did an overnight stop at this park. The owners are very helpful and caring. They made sure that our rooftop satellite would work ok, since there are many trees. They also aided us in parking, the park is a bit tight to maneuver with a big rig, but they assisted with that effort as well. The electricity was very stable, and all other amenities where fine as well. They have wifi but we didn't use it. Our site was very long: we left the truck hooked up and had room on both ends. We would stay here again if nearby. We camped at Eagle Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park, Hollister, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We're Escapee's members so we got the club rate for a week's stay. The park is as expected very clean and well cared for, it is all gravel surfaces so it can be a bit dusty, but, most folks are aware of that a drive appropriately. The sites are fairly level and the electric is stable, the water pressure is fine, although we never hookup without a pressure regulator. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the only minor downside is the lack of useful wifi at our site. We camped at Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Texarkana KOA, Texarkana, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

An older park, it could certainly use some upgrades, our site was level and open so our satellite TV worked ok. The office staff was very friendly. Sadly we left this park with a sugar ant infestation as did our neighbors in the next site, we did report this to the office staff and they informed us that it had been reported by another guest and that the management had been apprised of the situation. Getting into and out of the park is a bit challenging, but not unbearable. There is also considerable noise from nearby Interstate highway which is small annoyance if you are a light sleeper. We camped at Texarkana KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Gunsmoke RV Park, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the back section in a pull thru site which was plenty long enough for our 42 foot RV and large truck. The WIFI was slow but acceptable, my Verizon MIFI worked better. Our site had trees that blocked our satellite antenna but the park had good cable TV. The staff was very friendly and patrolled the park regularly seeking out any rule breakers. There is train noise but it's acceptable. The location of the park is perfect for exploring Dodge and nearby places although the city itself is not that big a deal. The park does have a gate closing at night so don't forget your gate code should you happen be out past 8pm. Lastly the spaces and surface roads are gravel so drive slowly thru the park and you may need blocks under your jacks/stabilizers. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Kearney RV Park and Campground, Kearney, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 2 nights. The sites are plenty long enough for a big rig and tow. The electricity was stable and their WIFI was ok. There is no cable TV hookup, so you are left to your own antenna or satellite dish. The park seemed a bit pricey for what you got, but it was fairly quiet at night so it is a satisfactory overnight park. We camped at Kearney RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

The spaces were plenty long enough for big rigs. The services were all good, the electric was stable and the WIFI worked well. The restrooms and showers were clean and the laundry was priced very reasonable. This is the best priced park in Cody. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

WE stayed here as a point of deployment to visit Yellowstone, it was a bit of a drive, but, very scenic, the park is very well kept and clean, the staff is always out and about caring for the facility, the pull thru spaces are very long so there is plenty of room for your rig and toad or truck, etc... Tips for other Campers:

There is a supermarket nearby that has the basics, also a dollar store and an ACE hardware, we also visited nearby Virginia City and it is definitely a worthwhile experience, but it is a seasonal town, but quite historical.

Columbia Falls RV Park, Columbia Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in order to visit Glacier NP, it was a very good location for exploring the park and surrounding area, but the rates don't match what you get, the cable was ok, the wifi was ok, the park was very clean, but when you pay almost $50 a night you would expect more than gravel roads and rig sites. We camped at Columbia Falls RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Coeur D'Alene RV Resort, Post Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park, a bit tight for big rigs, it is an older park and just has not kept up with the ever growing rv sizes, the electricity was stable, but the water pressure is high and you are advised of this by the park management, it is a bit noisy from the nearby interstate but not uncomfortable, just a steady background noise type thing. 99 RV Park, Vancouver, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This park has a very high percentage of permanent or seasonal residents, all of the sites are back in, the water pressure ran a bit high, but, the electricity was 50 amp and stable with voltages hovering at 119 volts, it is convenient to I-5 and I-205 but traffic is heavy oh hwy 99 which can make entering and exiting a bit difficult, we stayed her for 5 nights and id did make for a good base of operations as we explored the area. We camped at 99 RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Sightseeing from this location is terrific, the Pacific coast is only about an hour away where you will find good fun and fun things to do, and, Crater Lake is a beautiful drive and well worth the trip.

Shopping is ok in Sutherlin, but very good just a few miles south in Roseburg.
