Ramblin Fever RV Park, Mt. Pleasant, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Sort of dumpy, but good for overnight. Tight corners and small spaces. Noisy neighbors. Easy to miss. Look for the white fence. We camped at Ramblin Fever RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Catherine State Park, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We were a little big for our site. Recommenced AAA class in loop 1 for larger rigs, we are 40'. Camp store was nice. Lake is lovely. Good place to stop for Hot Springs NP. Long road in but paved and smooth. You might want to disconnect at the office since some loops have tight corners. Water hook up is awkward so you need a lot of hose. We camped at Lake Catherine State Park in a Motorhome.

Delta Ridge RV Park, Inc., Forrest City, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Large pull through. Lots of space. Very nice park. Full hookups. But... There is no-one on site so you have to phone them to come check you in. It is right next to the highway so there is road noise. IMPORTANT: It can be hard to find. From I-40 turn right at the first traffic light, between the Exxon and the McDonalds. Then the next right into the park. There are small blue signs but they are easy to miss. Google may lie to you. We camped at Delta Ridge RV Park, Inc. in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice State Park. Close to everything in Memphis. Great staff. Visit the Indian Museum in the park. The ranger can get you free tickets when you check in. The road here is very long through industrial areas, but is well marked. We camped at T. O. Fuller State Park in a Motorhome.

OK RV Park & Canyonlands Stables, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

What a great park! Right next to the arena. Staff is very helpful. Free WiFi. Bath/Showers are wonderful. The scenery from the site was breathtaking. They are straight dealers and don't try to rip you off like some others in the area. We camped at OK RV Park & Canyonlands Stables in a Motorhome.

The signs aren't great. Drive PAST the sign for the park and continue on to the sign for the RV Park. It is a busy road with heavy trucks so be careful.

Village of Trees RV Resort, Declo, Idaho

Overall Rating:

What a pleasant surprise! Very well run, clean, friendly. Sites are gravel and level. Everyone wants to help. They have a grill in the office that does wonderful food and will deliver to your site for free! There is a smithy on site to sell stuff. You can walk to the Snake River. There is a pool, but no hot tub. An amazing value. We camped at Village of Trees RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Exit 3 RV Park, Fruitland, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We had planned to boondock at the Ontario Walmart, but stopped here to swap drivers. We stayed. It is $20 and you have to pay at the A&W before you pull into the park. If you call ahead you get the A&W and the cashier doesn't know much about the park. The park is gravel with trees. Basic but clean. Not too much road noise. Can walk to the A&W. We camped at Exit 3 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Grant County Fairgrounds RV Park, John Day, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice gravel RV Park with some larger trees. Right next to the Grant County Fairgrounds and the John Day River. Sites are level. 50 amp and water, but no sewer. There is a dump station somewhere. You can call for reservations or just check in with an envelope. No one on site. It was about half full on June 3. Quiet and restful. The recently raised the rates to $30, which is a lot for just electric and water. We camped at Grant County Fairgrounds RV Park in a Motorhome.

You should visit the Oregon State Park, Kam Wah Chung Chinese-owned grocery. https://oregonencyclopedia.org/articles/kam_wah_chung/#.WTSwj8aB1Xg Free. 8-5. Tours on the hour. Seven days a week. It was locked up in 1940 and hasn't changed since. Chinatown near here had 1000 people in 1880's; third largest in US.

Rusty's RV Ranch, Rodeo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful park. The spaces are 100 feet long pull through so there is no problem parking. There is lots of space. There is an aviary and park that is very relaxing. Rusty herself is a hoot.

There are two unique characteristics of this park that I love. It is a dark sky park. You may not have any exterior lights or unshaded windows after dark. That is so that one can go out and enjoy the stars. It is truly amazing.

Second is the birding. Not only on the park, but just west is a large reserve. Wonderful. We camped at Rusty's RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Rodeo is small. There is a combined restaurant-grocery that has just the minimum. The food was good, but not much in supplies. There is no gas in town.

The reptile museum is amazing. You must visit it.

Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground, Salina, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground. WiFi only in office and slow at that. Great laundry (1$ wash 25¢ dry). Good lending library. Sites were big enough with full hook ups. No extra charge for 50 amp. Sites are opposite facing so you share the power and water hook up. Pool was closed everyday due to weather.

Some road noise from State Street.

Mobile home park nearby uses the park as a drive and they travel very fast though the park. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Pretty good. Lovely scenery. Get a space near the back for the view. WiFi was ok. Store is useless. Book exchange ok. Very helpful staff.

The morning muffins were poor quality. The food was ok otherwise.

Very clean and being renovated. Lovely and they are trying to upgrade it. The WiFi was excellent. Plenty to see and do around there.

Jacob Lake Campground - USFS, Jacob Lake, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

There are no facilities; no power, no water, no sewer. For $10 you get a space to park next to 89A. You are right by national forest land where you can boondock for free, without putting up with noise and campfire smoke from neighbors.

The camp hosts are quite organized and good. The trees make satellite reception hard. We camped at Jacob Lake Campground - USFS in a Motorhome.

About as close to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon as possible without being in the park. If you have time, drive over to Pipe Spring National Monument; it was great.
