Canyon Trail RV Resort, San Marcos, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

As an extended stay camper, I was very pleased with the park's wide sites and paved pads. There is no pool and I've never seen the club house open as there are no planned camper activities. However, the park is easily accessible to I-35, and it is very convenient to activities in the area (both New Braunfels and San Marcos, San Antonio and Austin.) We camped at Canyon Trail RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

River Ranch RV Resort, New Braunfels, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a smaller park with tight spaces, but it is right on the Guadalupe River. That could be a good or bad thing as the park floods from time to time, and luckily I had moved my rig the month before some of the less fortunate went floating downstream. I was there for a month and enjoyed being so close to everything since the park is pretty much in the center of town just off I-35. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Texas Wine Country Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful family park with lots to do for adults and children! The sites are really large with plenty of room for a 40 footer and two vehicles, and no neighbors so close that you feel like they're sitting in your breakfast room with you when you both have your slides out. The kids enjoyed the jumping pillow, camp fire with story telling, candy bar bingo, and "bears", while we adults had a great time at the onsite wine tasting. The facility is so clean and the staff so friendly. It is definitely a resort and not a campground, and we can't wait for the family to all get together there again. We camped at Texas Wine Country Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch), Burleson, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We didn't use a lot of the park amenities as we were with a family reunion. However, the staff was very nice and we enjoyed the on-site restaurant. We were right up front by the cabins, but we never heard highway noise. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Travel Trailer.

Jamaica Beach RV Park, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The park itself is right across the highway from the beach, and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting having my morning coffee while looking across to the waves breaking on the shore. The laundry room and bathroom were clean but well worn. The pads are concrete and rather tight, so it was difficult to park my car at the end of my 40 footer. The daily horse rides to the beach from the stables next door simply added to the ambiance of being at a TEXAS RV park! We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle and traffic of Galveston proper, and the miniature golf course and water balloon area were lots of fun. We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
