All Seasons Campground (formerly Countryboy Campground), Ninilchik, Alaska
Date of Stay:
August, 2018 -
$36.00
Overall Rating:
Really enjoyed this spot. Not many people here as it is getting later in the season. VERY quiet. Close to town. Wifi wasn't the best but we have had worse and paid more for it. We camped at All Seasons Campground (formerly Countryboy Campground) in a Travel Trailer.
Ninilchik is a tiny little town with not much in it and not much to do unless you fish and hunt. Great sites to see if you like driving on dirt roads. People are very friendly and helpful.

Paradise Alaska RV Park, Palmer, Alaska
Date of Stay:
July, 2018 -
$35.00
Overall Rating:
We stayed at this park for a month while looking for a home to buy in Alaska. Beautiful scenery with mountains all around. Owners come across as very friendly. They live on the same property and run a landscaping business, farm, distillery and a venue for weddings all on the same property as the RV Park. No one is in the office so the owners are constantly running back and forth from the farm to the office and through the park. Tons of side road traffic as it is used for all the various business they have going. Weddings are held every weekend and get very loud with bands or the sound system provided by the owners. Once the weddings are over some of the "guests" might return to the RV park loud, drunk and obnoxious. The place is new, so restrooms and showers are in new condition. Cleaned once a week. Laundry room has two washers and dryers. Laundry is free if you stay two days but only allowed 2 "free" loads per week. Pets are welcome and are to be on a lead with no exceptions, but we saw many exceptions. This park is right at the end of the Palmer Airport and while the noise from small planes is very Alaskan, when someone was doing touch and go landings and take offs late in the evenings it got old, fast. They have installed a large fire pit, for parties? Complete with free firewood and a grill to cook on. This would be a great place for large family and/or friends parties where the amount of noise would not matter. Sites are side by side with no buffer in between. This was the noisiest RV park we have stayed at in the two months we have been living at RV parks in Alaska. We would NOT stay at this RV Park again. We camped at Paradise Alaska RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Palmer is a pretty little town. Go downtown and see whats happening there. All kinds of small town things going on. This is also right by the State Fair Grounds.

June, 2018 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
LOVED this place. Everyone was friendly. Owner went out of her way to introduce herself when I mentioned we were looking to buy a home in the area. Yummy hamburgers. Air strip in back was great for letting our big dog run loose for a little while. Buggy so wear your dope. Laundry with quite a few machines. Trees between each site. Quiet..... a sweet stop. We camped at Trapper Creek Inn & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Went house shopping.

Johnson's Crossing Lodge, Johnson's Crossing, Yukon
Date of Stay:
June, 2018 -
$43.00
Overall Rating:
Sites were side by side, almost too close to use slide outs. No table. Beat up willow bushes between sites. They sent us to a site that someone was already in and paid for two nights. Ended up having to back trailer up on a curvy road to get back out so we could enter a different site. Had sewer hook up but had to stack rocks on top of hose to get it to stay in the hole. Nice walk down to the boat ramp. Watch your dogs. Owner allows hers to run loose and it is a barker. She will not call it back unless yours shows it is not happy with her little yapper. She will tell you to calm down right up until your dog lunges at hers! Not a good place to even overnight unless you're stuck. We camped at Johnson's Crossing Lodge in a Travel Trailer.
Woman in the bakery was friendly and nice. But had to practically beg another woman to please help us because she was also waiting on a table of 6 customers in the restaurant. Had a super yummy meal of liver and onions.

Northern Nights RV Campground, Glennallen, Alaska
Date of Stay:
June, 2018 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
Traveled from Washington stayed in many RV parks along the way. This one rates as top of the line. Very nice spots with trees and bushes between each site for privacy. Table and firepit included. Office sells firewood. Free coffee every morning! Bathrooms and showers were not only clean but in good repair and condition. Laundry by honor system. Very nice owner and managers - very friendly, ready and willing to tell you about things to do in the area. Couldn't meet a nicer group of people. Loved this place. Now that we are going to be living in AK we will be back over and over. Would rate this #1 in our RV Parks experiences. We camped at Northern Nights RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Many brochures in the office to find things to do in the area.

Riverview RV Park & Storage, Forks, Washington
Date of Stay:
October, 2014 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
Place is no different than staying in a parking lot. Would have been better off staying at a Walmart parking lot. At least I could have went shopping. And Walmart has more landscaping!!!! Place has been wiped clean of all vegetation, gravel dumped and flattened into parking areas. No bathrooms, no shower, no laundry room. No money worth at all. They say they are working on putting in bathrooms but it says that in a 2011 review. So they aren't investing any money that they are making on the place back into the place. No some where I would ever return to. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Storage in a Travel Trailer.
