LeLynn R.V. Resort, Polk City, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We made reservations there but when we arrived, there was no one to greet us (not after hours), just a note on the door. The site we reserved was on the water (think swamp) and was surrounded by cluttered seasonal sites with a lot of junk on them. The picnic table was falling apart and the fire ring was nearly submersed in water. The other campers did not seem friendly. We are reasonable, tolerant people, but we did not see the value in staying there at all. We left and went to Bay Lake Motorcoach Resort across the highway. That resort is SO MUCH BETTER!! We camped at LeLynn R.V. Resort in a Motorhome.

Bay Lake Motorcoach Resort, Polk City, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed on a private site at Bay Lake. The park is nicely situated between Orlando and Lakeland and there are other nice towns nearby. The entrance is off the road enough that it is fairly quiet, and it is nicely landscaped. The clubhouse is very nice, with a beautiful games room (nice pool table), big screen tv, gorgeous pool/patio/barbecues, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge, card tables and a great laundry. The clubhouse was very well kept and clean, and there are various activities for those so inclined. There are friendly sales/rentals agents on site from Monday to Friday for your convenience. There is private access to a small lake from the dock on the property. The lots that have been sold are extremely well developed with brick pavers, beautiful landscaping, casitas (small residences) and lighting. There still remain quite a few lots for sale, but this is to the buyer's advantage as good prices can be negotiated. Overall, we really enjoyed the resort and would recommend it to anyone travelling through the area with a motor coach. We KNOW we will definitely stay there again with the wonderful folks who we rented from. The lot owners were very friendly and the setting was serene. Try Bay Lake, you won't be disappointed! We camped at Bay Lake Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Shady Acres Campground, Mobile, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Not much to do except fish. Most people are full time residents. Good access to Dauphin Island. Owner was nice. Grounds were fairly clean with some junk. Comfort station/laundry old but clean. Ok for overnight or a couple of days. We camped at Shady Acres Campground in a Motorhome.
