Sun Roamers RV Resort, Picayune, Mississippi

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent facilities. All hookups worked flawlessly. We had a concrete pad site, there are some gravel sites and they looked fine. It was rainy during visit and all sites were high and dry. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy drive into New Orleans but far enough to be out of craziness of NO. We had a site (5) that was good for satellite reception but there are many Pine trees in the park so reception isn't guaranteed. We did have very good antenna reception. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Campground at Barnes Crossing, Tupelo, Mississippi

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

There is nothing bad to say about this campground. A couple of sites seem to have a slight slope but in our 4 times staying here we have always had a level site. Electricity, water and sewer are great. Have no issues with WiFi. Cable in park has 50+channels but there are also sites with easy satellite reception.

Have been here is hot and cold weather. Summer there are flowers and nice vegetation. Christmas is a hoot - a lot of decorations and lights.

Be aware they do not accept credit cards but have always accepted a check from us - we are not from this area our home is 300+ miles away. We camped at Campground at Barnes Crossing in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a large mall within 1/2 mile, a WalMart about 3/4 of a mile. Numerous chain restaurants near mall. But the park is encircled by trees and you don't see any of this. You can occasionally hear semi's on a 4 lane road but not too loud. In motorhome we hear nothing.

Denali Rainbow Village & RV Park (Privately Owned), Denali National Park, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a crowded gravel parking lot but our water/electric/sewer functioned well. The ladies in the office were friendly and helpful. Was difficult to level in our spot backed up to the back of the shops and our 37 Foot MH barely fit. Parking was convenient because we tow a Chevy Spark - it is very small. We had to squeeze in on the side of RV. Not long enough to park in front - I do mean tight squeeze but we could park. So what if you have to give up wifi and TV for a few days. I would stay there again to have such convenience to what we were really there to see - Denali. We camped at Denali Rainbow Village & RV Park (Privately Owned) in a Motorhome.

Whitney Lane RV Park, Kensett, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This was the nicest small park we have ever stayed in and we have been camping for YEARS. Been in a motorhome since 1999. The layout was well done. Laundry room very nice. Owner was extremely helpful and friendly. Invited us to a local barbecue fundraiser that was delicious. Will definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone. Yes, you could hear trains close by but frankly I liked the sound! We camped at Whitney Lane RV Park in a Motorhome.
