Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park), Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The owner went out of her way to find us ano overnight spot after being treated badly at another park. (even called a 'not yet showed' to make sure they were not coming) Our spot was spacious. We could leave our tow vehicle connected overnight. And all services worked perfect. We had a very comfortable overnight stay. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We had to go to the Post Office in the morning and it was actually a very pleasant 1 1/2 mile walk through 'old Las Cruces' - felt very safe. We have hiked in Las Cruces, taken part in the Day of the Dead clebrations and have found several great local breweries and Mexican restuarants (oh ... and a winery)

Coachlight Inn & RV Park, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We have styaed here two or three times before because it is a good rate for 'traveling through' without having to unhook our tow vehicle. Not the best part of town but when we close our shades, we are home. I called a week prior to our arrival for a reservation, giving them our motorhome length, tow vehicle and full hook up request. When we arrived, we were told that by the reception person that he had just arrived at work, he was not sure about exact site, but he was sure one was available. Well there was not. Rude and poor service. We will not go back. We camped at Coachlight Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hwy 71 RV Park, Cedar Creek, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This park is about 20 minutes from downtown Austin. We discovered we preferred to go the other direction to Bastrop. Plenty of shopping, food, services either way. The park serves breakfast/coffee somedays (we did not use). The majority of the residents are longterm but it was comfortable. Transients are grouped together in one area. The frontage road was good to run on down to rural neighborhoods. The park does have a pool and a small playground. We camped at Hwy 71 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There was a very nice veterinarian just across the street. There is a nice state park 1 1/2 miles down the highway. Grocery and restaurants in Bastrop.

Safari RV Park, League City, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

The park is mostly people who live there full-time or for extended periods but it appears they have about a dozen sites reserved for short term rentals. We stayed a week. Staff and any people we met in the park were friendly. There is a pool and a laundry room. Only complaint - no folding tables in laundry but the price was great. The area is becoming built up so if you are a runner, once you run by a half-mile of construction, you are in neighborhoods and the sidewalks are shady, safe and miles ... close proximity to stores. We camped at Safari RV Park in a Motorhome.

We went to Holiday RV - a few minutes down the road for some repairs. They were honest and accomodating.
