Highland Woods RV Resort, Pompano Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $4.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a mobile home park, converted to RVs. The water and electric hook-ups are on the wrong side of every site. The sewer connection is in the middle of the site, under the RV! You have to crawl under the rig to connect. The roads are narrow, making it difficult to maneuver a big rig. We had to drive through two other sites to get out of our spot. Luckily the park was almost empty, so it wasn't a problem.

We booked 10 days through Coast to Coast, but only stayed one night. There is no security, the gates open for anyone who pulls up. The park is in a rough part of town, and we didn't feel comfortable staying there. We camped at Highland Woods RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tejas Valley RV Park & Campground, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

I suppose this used to be a nice park, but now it is in total disrepair. The swimming pool is half full of green water, the roads are absolutely horrid, full of pot holes. The "store" has almost nothing available- just empty shelves. The back end of the park looks like a junk yard. Most occupants are permanents. They let their dogs run loose, and don't clean up after them. It's truly a shame because the park is near Sea World and with some work could be developed into a nice place to stay. We camped at Tejas Valley RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Quail Ridge RV Resort , Huachuca City, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We originally planned on staying 4 days to a week. We've been here for over a month now! The park does not have a lot of amenities, but that's fine with us. They do have a club house, laundry and showers. Activities are planned during the winter months. The sites are large with plenty of pull-throughs. We camped at Quail Ridge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Gig Harbor RV Resort, Gig Harbor, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

We called to make reservations nearly a month ahead of time. We were told we couldn't reserve a specific site, but we would get a site meeting our requirements. When we arrived we were told that no pull-through sites were available. When we mentioned that several sites were empty, she said they were reserved. Total disconnect here--we were told we couldn't reserve and yet...

We finally gave up arguing and backed into the site they gave us. Too many trees for satellite, WiFi was very slow, cable was good. Site had enough room to set up chairs outside and put out the awning.

Park personnel did a very good job of cleaning up after guests left, and maintaining the grounds.

We stayed for 10 days, as we had our son flying in, and we wanted to see all the sites in Seattle. We parked in Bremerton, and took the ferry across to Seattle where we picked up transportation to the sites.

Gig Harbor is not a resort by any means, but a decent park.

We found the add-ons for pets and an extra person excessive, and we will not use this park again. We camped at Gig Harbor RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Paradise Cove Resort & Marina, Rockaway Beach, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We booked through RPI, and requested a 50 amp full hookup site. When we arrived, we were directed to a site in the lower tier by the water. The site was VERY narrow- so narrow in fact that luckily someone volunteered to back in for me. Then we discovered that the site was 30 amp, no sewer! We complained to the person in the entrance shack - there is no office - and he finally let us move up to the upper tier across Rt 101. We had more room, 50 amp FHU, but couldn't get Internet or satellite TV.

The entire park is run down. To call this a "resort" is a gross misuse of the word!

Also we called them several times, both before our arrival and during our stay. Only once did we connect with anyone. We left messages on the other calls and not once did anyone return our call.

We would not use this park again. We camped at Paradise Cove Resort & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.
