Pine Grove Campground and Cottages, Medway, Maine
Date of Stay:
July, 2018 -
$25.00
Overall Rating:
Very peaceful and serene location. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Canoes and kayaks available for free. Very rustic area so very poor Wifi, poor cell signal and no TV reception on antenna. Having said all this. We will definitely come back and plan to in the Fall. We camped at Pine Grove Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.
Shopping closeby. Make sure you do the Golden Road, if you are into beautiful scenery and don't mind getting your car dusty.

Moorings Oceanfront RV Resort, Belfast, Maine
Date of Stay:
July, 2018 -
$82.00
Overall Rating:
Third time to visit this facility. Have loved it here but this time it was extremely noisy. The constant mowing and watering plants with a loud machine made it impossible to think or relax. For some reason they have converted there tank pump out machine to a watering device. Was walking our dog on an adjacent field and was reprimanded, even though there were many people doing the same thing with their dogs even after I was spoken to. When I asked the individual if they were done making noise he got infuriated and told me to talk to the manager. I walked away thinking just let it drop. He sought out the manager and brought him to my site. I figured We had 4 or 5 more days to stay here so just let the manager say his piece and just let it go. I felt the site was overpriced as it was on a significant slant and difficult to level the motor home. Although we had enjoyed staying here in the past we did not feel welcomed and will not visit again. On the positive side they have excellent WiFi and great cable. We camped at Moorings Oceanfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Camp sites are very crowded and not structured. Seasonals have lots of junk all around. Rules are plentiful but not enforced. Great location near activities and the Cape Cod Canal. We camped at Bourne Scenic Park in a Motorhome.

Sandpiper RV Resort, Galveston, Texas
Date of Stay:
February, 2018 -
$55.00
Overall Rating:
Grumpy uninformative check in person. All was quiet until the Mardi Gras people arrived. Then loud music, trucks and kids. Dogs running loose. Roaring, gas fed wood fire near our slide. Roads just outside camp ground flooded. Not their fault. Forget the wifi. It keeps dropping out. Level concrete site. Gates all open. For the price we paid for a "resort" it was very disappointing. Lots of rules but no one enforced them. We camped at Sandpiper RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Jude Travel Park, New Orleans, Louisiana
Date of Stay:
January, 2018 -
$30.00
Overall Rating:
Stayed at this park becase of the good reviews. We were somewhat disappointed. Very tight sites. Staff was grumpy other than the check-in lady. Some train noise. Look to be in a bad neighborhood but felt safe in gated facility. Cats everywhere, owner has adopted some feral cats. Easy access to New Orleans. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

The Oaks at Point South, Yemassee, South Carolina
Date of Stay:
March, 2016 -
$27.00
Overall Rating:
Worst Campground I have ever been in and I have been in a lot. Roads are being worked on so access is limited and sites are full of mud, ruts and water. After circling around found one site I was not afraid to pull into, the 50 amp plug socket cover missing cable hookup had connector missing. I know I should have just left but did not want to haggle for my money back. Can you believe there is a$4.00 resort fee? We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

Ja-Mar RV Resort, North, Port Richey, Florida
Date of Stay:
February, 2016 -
$33.00
Overall Rating:
Super friendly Staff and Residents. Absolutely not dog friendly as there is no fenced in dog area and very restrictive dog walking access. Trash is not conveniant as it is way out near the front gate. No sidewalks so you must be careful walking around the two way traffic. WI-FI only in Clubhouse area (did not try). Great french toast breakfast for $2.00. We camped at Ja-Mar RV Resort, North in a Motorhome.

Hargus RV Park (formerly Wink's R.V. Park), Clinton, Oklahoma
Date of Stay:
March, 2014 -
$30.00
Overall Rating:
Not a great place to stay although easy on and off I-40. Bad Wi-Fi, water hookups are a foot underground in a 12 inch pipe and you must be a contortionist to connect, dog poop everywhere, cable not working. Noticed othr campers were using the main cable manifold so I hooked up to that and reception was no better and still fuzzy. There are only 6 pull-throughs and all were booked so had to disconnect toad. (could have continued on but was very weary of continuing to fight the extreme wind any longer). Intake clerk was very nice. Did not use restrooms or showers. It was quiet. We camped at Hargus RV Park (formerly Wink's R.V. Park) in a Motorhome.

Pine Grove Campground and Cottages, Medway, Maine
Date of Stay:
July, 2013 -
$32.00
Overall Rating:
Very enjoyable setting, friendly/ helpful owner, and river access with free canoes and kayaks. Decent Wi-Fi and very quiet. If you are looking for a relaxing soothing place to kick back and swim, fish, boat, or take in the local scenery you have found it. Don’t get me wrong this place is rustic and if you’re looking for fancy don’t come. We happened on this site by accident. A campground down the road was full. So we gave this a bit out of the way spot a chance and are glad we did. We camped at Pine Grove Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Sunset Point RV Trailer Park, Lubec, Maine
Date of Stay:
June, 2013 -
$35.00
Overall Rating:
Wi-Fi had a strong signal. Our site overlooking the Bay allowed us to observe the large tide changes and take in the beautiful sunsets. Very close to Campobello Island and West Quoddy Light. Very level grassy sites. This was one of the best campground experiences we have ever had. The location was great, the host was great, and our fellow campers were great. We camped at Sunset Point RV Trailer Park in a Motorhome.
