Yanks RV Resort, Greenfield, California

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

A new RV Park. Site are paved and level. Small patio area at each site. Pool was heated, which was nice going in March. Everyone there was friendly and they took us to our site and asked if there was anything they could help us with. It was extremely windy and the man that helped us said it was normal. He said normally the wind is low in the morning but always kicks up in the afternoon. The tree by our site was bent over because of the wind. Currently there isn't anything around the area to see or go. I would stop here again if I was driving through but it wouldn't be a place I would plan on staying for a couple of days. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Betabel RV Park, San Juan Bautista, California

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

There appears to be a lot of long term RV's here. There is an area that looks like where they put the rest of us. It is all paved. The middle aisle has a lattice fence by the connections to separate it from the site next to it. It looks good. We were by the side so we just had the typical lines. It is nothing but a huge parking lot. We have two dogs so the huge park like area for dogs was great. WiFi was poor. Nothing to stop us for coming again. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pismo Sands RV Park, Oceano, California

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

WiFi was poor. They have too many rules for us. No rugs, No stakes to tie your dog to so he can be outside with you, no dog pens, no dog runs. Heck, they should just say no dogs. We have a cage like fence we like to use so our dogs can be outside with us without a leash. Not allowed. It doesn't have a floor so I don't know what the big deal was. The person in the office told us to park our car in front of our RV, which required us to have the RV back more than it really should have been. This caused the picnic table to be located in an area almost in front of our RV so it could not be used. It would have been a lot better if we could have moved our RV up and parked behind. But she was very firm on what she wanted us to do. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back here again. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Paradise By The Sea RV Resort, Oceanside, California

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

I am rating the RV Park itself. Sites are extremely small and narrow. We could not open our awning because a small tree was between our site and another site. There was no room behind us and even though we are only 29' long, no room in front. The people in the RV's in front of us (across the street) partied but they were sitting behind their RV and almost on the street. A train goes by and it very loud. They have a pool & hot tub but we decided not to in either. The pool looked clean but the hot tub was milky looking. We decided to sit by the pool while I did the laundry. That is when people started coming into the pool with their small children (like ages 2-5). The kids went mainly into the hot tub. Seeing that age of kids in the hot tub explains why the water in it was not clean. The parents brought the kids into the big pool as well. So no pool for us. They have a man that works there that was rude to us twice. The second time was when I went to do my laundry. The laundry door was open. I went it and put my laundry in the washing machine. I was just getting ready to put the quarters in when he yells at me that I have to get out. He said the laundry was closed between noon and 1 and it was noon. I told him I didn't know that and he said it was posted on the door and pointed to the sign. Since the door was open I didn't look at any signs. He said I had to leave and come back at 1. Sorry, that is rude. He could have done the same thing and be nice about it. So I was not happy with the RV park itself. We camped at Paradise By The Sea RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The location was great. They have a gate that you can go out and take a path to a park and then the ocean. Only about a block away. The beach is very small but it is on the ocean. We sat and watched a bunch of surfers.

Outdoor Resort Indio, Indio, California

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $137.00
Overall Rating:

This is an extremely high end RV Resort. We stayed at a Gold Site by the Golf Course. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is because they do not have WiFi. Not at all. These sites are all owned and they rent them out when the owners at not here, (the owners get some of the rental money). Our site was the best we have ever had. They had outside BBQ, Stove, Refrig, serving area, large patio table with 6 chairs, lounge chairs and more. Just beautiful. If you can afford it, this is a must do at least once. We camped at Outdoor Resort Indio in a Motorhome.

Desert Willow RV Resort, Hesperia, California

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is only an OK overnight stop RV resort. It does not have WiFi, no cable (and no channels over the air) and no table or BBQ pit. Just a site, that was also not level. If you just want a place to stop on your way to Southern California, it would work. But that is about all. We camped at Desert Willow RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve, Santee, California

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a park which has seven man made lakes. Many sites have full hookup, which is what we had. The size of the sites varies but I think even the smallest is larger than most RV parks. The site we had was by a small man made river. Near us was a nice park like area. I am taking into consideration this is a park and not an RV Resort. All dirt with some trees. This is winter so none of the trees were green so I really can't tell if the tree near us would give us shade in the summer. There is fishing at each of the lakes (I think it is catch and release). A number of children play areas. Clubhouse. Swimming pool (not heated). They have WiFi but it is pretty slow. The have cable but not many stations. If this was an RV park I would reduce the rating for that but this is a park. So this location is great. We will stay here again. We camped at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve in a Motorhome.

The town of Santee is close by and have most anything you want. There is a train that can take you to San Diego.
