McCloud Market is nearby and very well stocked. Small shopping area called Mercantile in center of McCloud is fun place to roam. Make sure you visit the McCloud Museum across from Mercantile. Great breakfast or lunch about 16 miles east of park on Hwy 89 called Battle Lodge.

Yanks RV Resort, Greenfield, California

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in Deluxe pull-through. Relatively new park with concrete pads. Excellent no-password WiFi and cable TV. Pedestal in great shape and generally easy to use. I prefer that circuit breakers are more easily read without having to bend over to read the amperage while head is inverted. Lady on front desk and man that escorted us to site were both very courteous and helpful. Made the reservation online at night and automated response was informative and quick. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Location is several miles from any points of interest. Some wineries in area.

Be careful of leaving awning out as high winds can come at any time. Staff will caution you about this possible issue.

Anaheim Harbor RV Park, Anaheim, California

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

The big plus of this park is its roughly 4 block walk to Disneyland walk-in entrance on Harbor Blvd. Park has a large number of long term residents in back of park. All very pleasant folks. Short stay is to front of park. Sites are short and price included a second site to park our Toad.

The negative is WiFi that is very weak and often disconnects. Cable requires use of Time-Warner cable box. The box I was provided did not work. Box is not easily installed. Desk folks did not seem to really care whether WiFi or cable was an issue. We camped at Anaheim Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Kyllonen's RV Park, Anchor Point, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

A great park with wonderful hosts. Nice gift shop and expresso bar. This park may not hit you right upon entry, but it is great. The hosts recommendation for a fishing charter was equally great. If you are going to Homer set aside a few days to stay at this park. I may not have correctly stated rate as we were part of caravan. We camped at Kyllonen's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rainey Creek Municipal Campground, Stewart, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful campground with too many potholes in access roads. Sani dump is 8-9 blocks away. One potable water tap for all sites. And frankly the host while friendly was tired of being host and ready to close campground. Wi-Fi was located in dry kitchen shelter in middle of park and was spotty in connectivity. Stewart is very interesting old mining town with a great pizza restaurant. This city owned campground needs TLC and better facilities. We camped at Rainey Creek Municipal Campground in a Motorhome.

Shady Rest RV Park, Houston, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Just spent the last 3 1/2 months in Canada and Alaska. Without a doubt Shady Rest RV Park is the best of all parks visited. The owners keep meticulous care of property. Sites are level. Wi-Fi works, flower beds are beautiful. There is not any better. If you are traveling on Hwy 16 and can layover in Houston make this your choice. We camped at Shady Rest RV Park in a Motorhome.
