Gunsmoke RV Park, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We fortunately stayed at this park for only one night. The website needs to be updated as it provides false information. There is no cable. Our electrical did not work adequately. We had a dirt area right by the steps of our RV which was a mess when it rained. The appearance of the park was sad with weeds and junk...needs so much care and maintenance. Train sounded like it was right outside the RV. Road noise was continuous. My husband was read the rules and told if we didn't pick up dog messes (which we always do) we would be booted out immediately. Also, if we stayed one minute beyond checkout time we would be charged another day on our credit card. It would have been nice to be welcomed instead of threatened with rules like we were irresponsible children. There are no discounts; we feel our money should be returned due to false advertising and electrical problem. This is not a park we will return to. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park), El Mirage, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2015
Overall Rating:

The park is not set up for rvs, but instead has electric and sewer on right side, 20 ft behind. After being at the site for a week, security told us we needed to move our trailer two feet forward so all rvs and houses are perfectly lined up. This was amazing as a different security employee guided us to the spot and directed us in parking. We talked to management, but were given no consideration and were told we had to hook up and move forward and buy more electric and sewer by the next day.

Sites are meant for houses: that is why this required extra power cord and sewer. When paying, they would not take credit card or cash: only check. None of the information was given to us when reserving by phone. Fighter jets continually flew overhead, even after dark, so conversation with others was impossible. The resort has two dog parks. We tried both the first day: wet, dirty, smelly due to full garbage so we did not use them again. We did enjoy the pool area once we got everything else settled. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.
