Midessa Oil Patch RV Park, Odessa, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park offers just about everything you need for a temporary stay, or one of long-term. It's fenced in, with nice grassy fenced parks for dogs to play unleased, and for children to play in a safe area. Playground offers basketball hoop and concrete slab, swings. Big painted tires for climbing, and a park bench for the parents. There is a very nice pool, convenience sore, propane service, Laundromat, many trees for shading, picnic tables at each space. It feels safe, secure, and friendly. Inhabitants adhere to pet and quiet park rules. Well managed. The TV service is limited to the few local channels. The cable provider doesn't have service in the area. Just make sure you have DVDs if you plan a variety of entertainment to watch. We camped at Midessa Oil Patch RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain View RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

If you need a quick and easy overnight stay while travelling, this is a clean and friendly park. The owners are pleasant, and conscientious about their park's upkeep. Leave your rig hooked up, and they'll drive you to and from a local restaurant for dinner.

The park is very easily accessible from the Interstate. The spaces are gravel, level, pull through. Big enough for the biggest rigs. Each space has a tree, however, some are still young and there isn't an abundance of shade, yet. The grounds are very well maintained, and cared for. There no extra frills such as picnic tables, but plenty of room to put you own folding furniture. All utilities are in good operating condition.

This park will remain our overnight sleepover choice when traveling in that direction. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Desert Skies RV Resort, Mesquite, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful RV resort. We were there at a time when many long-term residents were just preparing to go home for the summer months. Many retired folks, nice, friendly, easy to love with. Resort rules were followed. Will definitely include this one in our travel diary as a "return" prospect. We camped at Desert Skies RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
