Blythe Island Regional Park Campground, Brunswick, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very helpful staff and has a really nice marina. Good fishing. Campsites are extremely tight with very little space in between. Making some of the turns require a second and third effort. Great area for boating/kayaking. Heavy vegetation between sites. We didn't have enough room to fully extend both the pop out and awning. Had to settle for 3/4 extended awning without it rubbing on a tree and yes, I was centered. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Jolly Roger Travel Park, Marathon, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here for the Christmas Holidays each year as they have everything we need. Docking for our boat, right on the gulf and right in the middle of the Keys. More office staff wouldn't hurt as it takes awhile to check in and out when they get busy. Laundry and book exchange are clean and secure with plenty of security cameras EVERYWHERE! That's a good thing. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Coastal Georgia RV Resort, Brunswick, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean park with easy in and outs. Several back-ins at lakeside. Staff was very friendly and had trash pickup every morning at each site, no hunting for the dumpster. The only problem I've ever had staying here was some dog owners don't always pick up after their pets. Next time I will use my game cam and return the deposits to their rightful owner. The park owner can only do so much to stop this and they do patrol the park looking for such things. Very good cable and WiFi. Several repeaters throughout the CG keep the signal strong. Well stocked camp store. This is my favorite go-to park in this part of Georgia. We camped at Coastal Georgia RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Uchee Creek Campground/Marina (Military FamCamp), Fort Benning Army Post, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here two years running for my military reunions. What a great park! Plenty of shade OR open sites depending on which you want. Full hookups with 50 amp service. Very quiet campground with nice centrally located pool and pavilion. There is a full-service marina on the grounds with boat rentals as the campground is right on the river. Paratrooper drop zone just a mile or 2 away on the same road. Love watching them jump. Office staff was very helpful, but the cable boxes are a pain to hook up. Didn't know I needed one until it was too late in the day to get one. Lots of room for portable satellite dishes and love sitting outside with deer walking all around us. Very relaxing and very secure as gate locks at night with coded entry. All roads are well maintained and mostly level. Just can't say enough good about this CG. Will return next year. We camped at Uchee Creek Campground/Marina (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.

Mistletoe State Park, Appling, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here twice a year and have been coming since the 1970s. The sites in the West loop are great with a full view of the lake and a clear shot for satellite TV dishes from the sites #79 through the #80s. We park the boat right next to the TT. Good boat ramp and the office staff is very friendly and helpful. Our favorite park! We camped at Mistletoe State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park, Cordele, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here twice and simply loved it. The staff was very helpful. Great park for kids. Very peaceful and quiet and right on the lake. The water was 30ft from the trailer and we kept the RIB pulled up right next to the unit. Huge lake with plenty of places to buy bait and fishing gear. There is a restaurant at the hotel next to the campgrounds but it's expensive. Lake Blackshear has very good fishing. We will be going back in September for a week. We camped at Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park in a Travel Trailer.
