Koreshan State Historic Site, Estero, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

We spent 4 nights here. Found the campground area to be generally overgrown, sites were closely spaced and we needed 4 wheel drive to get into the site's loose sand. The positives were the nearness of several beaches and the historic area at the park. We had good Verizon service and great OTA tv. We would camp here again if we could get a different site. We camped at Koreshan State Historic Site in a Travel Trailer.

Midway Campground - Big Cypress National Preserve, Ochopee, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped here on our way out of the Florida Keys. As everyone has said, make sure you have your food and supplies because it is quite a drive to the nearest store. Nice campground with electric hookup only. Have to get water as you pull in unless you carry it with you. Sites are paved and most are 90 degree back-in. Campsite hosts are great and will let you piggy-back their phone booster (Verizon). Sometimes we could make a call from the trailer, but generally very limited connectivity. Great spot in the Big Cypress Preserve which we love. Bottom line good for a stop over spot on your way across Florida or coming/going to the keys. We camped at Midway Campground - Big Cypress National Preserve in a Travel Trailer.

Long Point Park Campground (Brevard County Park), Melbourne Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Decent campground, especially the waterfront sites. Grass and/or sand to park on depending on site. Verizon was very good and OTA tv had several channels. Wifi was decent. They are putting in a new bath-house which will be nice. Bridge over to Scout Island was fun exploring. Publix is 11 miles north. Quiet at night, we would stay here again. We camped at Long Point Park Campground (Brevard County Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Sebastian Inlet State Park, Melbourne Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

A heads up if you will be here between Feb-June 2019, they have started a beach re-nourishment project and are dredging 24 hours/day. The noise is quite obnoxious especially if you are close to the water. We enjoyed the first 5 days of our stay and then the noise started. The park is open 24 hours/day unlike most state parks and the restroom/shower facilities are looking a little run down. The site was great and we parked across the road from our trailer. The site was small gravel with a picnic table and fire ring. The road between the campsites and the water goes to a boat ramp and pavilions and is used frequently. Several OTA TV channels available and decent Verizon service at our site. We would return when the dredging is over. They hold events quite often at the beach area across the inlet. We got to watch a surfing tournament. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area, Flagler Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

We were here 2 weeks oceanfront and loved our stay. The volunteer camp hosts were great and kept everything neat and clean. Our site was sand just long enough for our trailer, but wide enough to park the truck beside it and have room. We made reservations to come back before leaving. Verizon 4G was good and multiple OTA tv channels. We camped at Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Flagler Beach is an eclectic place with multiple shops and restaurants. The Funky Pelican next to the pier had a delicious blackened fish sandwich and a great outdoor place to enjoy.

Overall Rating:

Great campground and staff. We had a pull through site with lots of shade. Cable tv along with full hookups and wifi available at the camp store. Tram service to beach was punctual. Good verizon coverage and tons of things to do around the area along with restaurants. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Topsail Hill State Preserve in a Travel Trailer.

Davis Bayou Campground, Ocean Springs, Mississippi

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 6 nights and enjoyed everything except the noseeums. Site was fairly narrow and asphalt. We are 37' long and didn't have issues getting around the main loop of the park. Our site was pretty level and had two large live oaks one on each side so if you don't have slide toppers they will require sweeping prior to leaving. There is only one dump station in the center of the park so you get practice navigating the loop. Utilities worked well and we were able to get several OTA tv channels. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Davis Bayou Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Pickens Campground, Pensacola, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed 5 nights here in loop E in a back in site. Parked our truck in overflow parking since space at most sites is limited. Really liked the campground and facilities were clean. Interior roads were tight with people and/or trees in the way trying to park and navigate. The campgrounds 50 amp at our site didn't work when we arrived and with it being a holiday weekend it took a few days to get working (we used 30 amp). We are planning to return shortly. Verizon service worked well and we got several OTA tv channels. $20 fee to get in the National Seashore unless you have the Federal pass. We camped at Fort Pickens Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Ho-Hum RV Park, Carrabelle, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here a week while passing through the area and we were in a pull through site near Hwy 98. Everyone was friendly and fishing from the pier was a lot of fun. Hwy 98 noise at night is annoying, ran the fan in the bedroom to help out. Cable tv was good and utilities worked well. Verizon service was good. We would stay here again. Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a month in the new section. The location is convenient to grocery store, fast food, Cracker Barrel, and I-75. Cable tv was good along with fair WiFi, Verizon service was good. Site was dirt/rock with a concrete patio. Utilities worked well. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Ocala Sun RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here 4 nights and really enjoyed the campground and springs. Great to have a USFS campground with full hookups and WiFi. Everyone was very friendly and it was nice to relax. Hookups were great and Verizon was fair and OTA TV had several channels. Not much in a 20 mile radius, but that is part of the charm. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Lake Louisa State Park, Clermont, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Loved our stay here, facilities were neatly kept and clean. Utilities worked well along with Verizon and OTA TV channels. The park area is huge and there is a lot to see and do. During the winter they have a food truck on weekends, think it's all week in the summer. Hwy 27 is under construction and down to one lane each way, which was a pain. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at Lake Louisa State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Coastline RV Resort, Eastpoint, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This review is for the Coastline RV Campground where we stayed for a month. We were in a seasonal site and it was just long enough for our trailer. We did have a view of the bay and loved the area in general. Fishing is good in the area (and in front of the campground). They are supposed to add wifi to the campground, but not sure the "seasonals" will get to participate. Cable tv was very good, utilities worked well, and Verizon service was excellent. No picnic table and we were prohibited from using the bathroom or laundry. We would return if in the area. We camped at Coastline RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Doll Mt. Campground COE, Ellijay, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Wow, one of those campgrounds you hate to leave. The best COE campground we have found and the area and view were wonderful. Decent OTA tv and Verizon 4G. Back-in site with concrete pad and huge deck, the camphost said we would love the site and he was correct. The turns and slopes getting into the park are a little bit of a challenge, but it is worth it. We would definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity and hated to leave.
