Sundermeier RV Park, Saint Charles, Missouri

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Pros: Pretty easy to navigate. Large park-over 100 sites. Used to be a nice restaurant in the park but they haven't been able to find a new buyer. Train is close, so you will hear it a couple times/night. May be a deterrent but I love the sound as it fades away. Behind the park is a very extensive park systems with information signs, a trail close to the river view, children friendly with several playgrounds. Walking path doubles as a long biking path. Great for us and our labs.

Cons: Gentleman could be a little more friendly in the office, but he gets the job done! We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nothing close. You have to drive through an older neighborhood to access the entrance. "Narrowish" turn. Good signage to the place.

Crossroads RV Park, Mount Pleasant, Iowa

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Pros: We love this park. A great large area for our labs to run. Immaculate (mowing, sites, flowers, office)and quiet. This is our 3rd time after we found it much easier to park here and drive 45min to Washington,Ia where family is. Hy-Vee a short walk away. Expansion coming. Right off the interstate.

Cons: No refunds/credits if you shorten your stay. We camped at Crossroads RV Park in a Motorhome.

Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA), Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Not a destination at all, a short overnight at best. Too many semi to permanent residents.

One "+" is the dog run is divided so more than one animal can be in there.

Can not remember if the Cafe was even open. We camped at Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA) in a Motorhome.

Tucson / Lazydays KOA, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

First-I can't remember the nightly cost as I don't have my receipt handy!!

That being said, this is a must stay destination. There is easy access and they have two huge structures in place to offer shade during your stay. Being in AZ during the summer we decided to take advantage of this based only on the website description. We recommend it 200%. The area is all paved, the sites are pretty (fruit trees blooming fruit during our stay-at each site) Well marked, lots of space, lots of sites. It is worth the additional cost to be comfortable in the AZ sun. Clubhouse/office is well kept, nice landscaping, plants, flowers. We did not have much interaction with any staff so I can not comment on that. We had adequate area to walk our labs. 45 ft coach, towing a Tahoe. The space even has an area marked for your vehicle. Not anything to do in walking distance but relatively close to I-10. Highly recommend. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Pros: Nearby walking in neighborhood. Complete path (dirt) around the entire fenced complex. There also is a large fenced area for pets with a concrete shelter and chairs to sit. Containers and shovel to do your pick up. Loved the evening western storms by the mountains. Lots of rabbits so pet owners beware! They were everywhere.

Cons: At the top of a plateau so very windy. The owners are artists-lots of Iron art everywhere. Nothing really pleasing to the eye as far as color, flowers, foliage. Many guests do not pick up after their dog both in the dog run and on the foot path. I would not call this a destination as it just didnt give me the impression they were making the effort to keep it up. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.
